∙ Madis POV ∙
"We got everything?"
Nyx released a sort of long-suffering male noise and rolled his eyes. "Yes, my beloved Madis, and your have already checked four times." Nyx exhaled another loud breath, brushed his hands down his thighs and finally got up. He came up to me, slung his arms around my middle and pulled me to his chest. "My wonderful, wonderful mate. We have everything. More than enough, and we checked everything a million times. We will be fine. Don't panic."
Turning on my heels, I spun around to look up at my mate. I reached one hand up to brush a strand of hair out of his forehead and then leaned up to kiss his jaw. "I would truly be hopeless without you."
"No," Nyx said and smiled. "I would be hopeless without you. Utterly and completely hopeless."
With his next movement, Nyx lifted me onto the dresser behind him, stepping between my thighs, his hands falling to my hips. "You look breath-taking today, Starlight. Even more than usually."
Nyx leaned in to kiss my lips, then my jaw and lastly my neck. I felt my back bowing into him, his chest against mine. Simultaneously to his lips cascading down my neck, Nyx shoved my dress upwards, bunching it up my hips.
"We are going to be late," I mumbled, my own hands travelling up Nyx's strong arms. The corded muscles of his arms felt so good under my hands and it was hard to focus. "We need to be there—"
"Only in two hours. We have enough time." I felt Nyx smile against my skin, his fingers curling around the hem of my panties. "Lift your ass, Starlight."
"Nyx," I pulled back a little to look into his eyes. Nyx pouted. "We haven't done this in so long." He stretched out the word so and I had to give him that. We truly hadn't done it in a long time, we had been so busy with all the High Lord and Lady business that we had mostly worked all day and then had fallen asleep the moment our bodies had touched the bed. "But—"
"Nothing but, just enjoy." Nyx smiled again, leaned in and kissed the corner of my mouth. Then his lips closed fully over mine. It was a searing kiss and got even more passionate when his tongue slid over the seam of my lips, he parted them, let his tongue slide in and brushed against the top of my mouth before meeting my tongue with every stroke. His chest rumbled when he moaned deep in his throat and I lifted my hips for him to pull down my panties.
Once discarded of them, Nyx freed his already rigid length, stroking himself a few times before placing himself against my centre, slowly sliding inside of me and stretching me out so blissfully like he always used to do. "Fuck," Nyx breathed and his forehead dropped to mine. "You feel so good." Our bodies came together, but he was not rough, he gently took me on the dresser, thrusting into me with a steady pace and made me come quicker than I had expected. I came with a cry of pleasure, Nyx spilled into me, stilled inside of him and kissed me sloppily. Then again and again, until he was hard again and he lifted me off the dresser, making love to me on the floor.
"I never needed anything more than I need you. You are the bane of my existence, Madis Archeron. The only thing I truly need in life." And with that he came again, sloppily moving against me, in me, until we were fully spent and he kissed me one last time.

My skin was still flushed when the shadows around us parted, my nostrils filled with the scent of flowers and grass and my eyes slowly adapted to the bright sunlight. I was going to make a mental image of that so Feyre would later paint the scenery that displayed itself in front of me. It was stunning — absolutely breathtaking. The flower fields stretched out, wide and vast, nothing but colourful blooming all around us. "Welcome to Montesere, Starlight."
Nyx grinned when I look up at him. It wasn't his first time here, but it was mine and I wanted to drink it all in. I had never seen a scenery so beautiful. "These are the flower fields aunt Elain has told you about."
I turned my gaze back to the scenery, my lips forming a big smile. "I thought so and I know why she loves them so much. Are those ever blooming flowers?"
"They are," Nyx hummed, his arms sliding around my middle once again. He placed his chin on top of my head and squeezed me to him. "I thought we could spend our fifth anniversary here? For longer maybe? Two weeks? A month?"
My chest warmed and I tried to turn, but he wouldn't let me and so I just tilted my head and looked up a him. "Yes?"
"Yes. I think we deserve a break, and we have our family to fill in for us in the time we are gone."
"I would love that!" I expressed happily, cheering and grinning.
Nyx kissed me when he uncurled his arms and took my hand into his. And so he guided me to the big palace, just below the small hill we were standing on. The ginormous flower fields surrounded the palace and I knew that people who lived surrounded by flowers could only be kind deep inside their heart. And I wasn't mistaken.
The king and queen of Monterese were a bit older already, but nevertheless kind and open-minded. We were led to them by sentries, and sat around a large table with them, their advisors and their children, probably the same age as Nyx and I. But it didn't matter, no one bothered to mention that we were too young and this was a good feeling. We got respected and accepted and I loved this.
"So when the trading ships pass around here it would be faster," Nyx said and traced his finger along a line on a map. I watched in admiration. Lately he had discovered a big love for maps, map making and coordinating.
"The sounds like a good idea, but wouldn't it be faster that way?" the king suggest, whihc has Nyx pondering until the prince of Montesere starts to support Nyx, saying it would be easier his route as if they chose his father's route they would have to surpass certain smaller islands.
"We will be trading fabric for wheat." I nodded happily and Nyx sat back down and folded his hands in front of him on the table. "Exactly, wheat from the Spring Court. My dear friend Andras and my cousin Dalia, High Lady and High Lord of the Spring Court apologise themselves but they are expecting their first child. But yes, Spring will send you wheat while we prove you with crystals and other stones."
"And to the mortal lands we will export...?"
"Also fabric, and they will provide you with jobs and agricultural products." The king and queen nodded their heads in unison and one of the advisors spoke up about offering up jobs at the palace. I really liked the idea, Andras and Dalia had many mortals now work at their palace and a few fae from the Spring Court now worked in the Mortal Lands, mostly helping and aiding them when dealing with injuries or having to carry heavy things. It was wonderful, and Aesa and I could open a shop for clothing in the Mortal Lands — clothing that was warm, beautiful and affordable. I sewed many things, but Aesa learned it as well, now running the shop like the perfect business lady she turned out to be. Geavin stayed at home with the children, tending to their garden and doing repairings for their neighbours and friends when Aesa watched over the children.
Noora and Breea on the other hand were busy travelling the world. They wanted to see every part of it before fully settling down in the Night Court, where they planned on living in the future.
"So it is fixed?" the king said and stood.
"It is," Nyx declared and stood as well to shake his hand. We had to sign many papers after the talks, provide certain documents and were shown certain documents. Later on, when the sun started to set, we were given a tour through the vast flower gardens and I fell in love with scenery once again, already highly anticipating the stay here for our fifth anniversary.
