I was feeling complete for the first time in my life. Before I met Dax, my life was a constant struggle, to eat, to study, to work, to survive. But after that bank...I never thought that I'll thank some dumb robbers that choose that bank that day. Even though I ended up with a bullet in my back, that some rainy days I felt like it was still inside of me...I was still thankful that I met Dax. He was like a dream. I wasn't sure how a man like him was real, and not part of my fantasies. But his hands, his mouth, his tongue and definitely his dick was making me absolutely sure that he wasn't some part of my imagination. I could never create such a fine man like him in my mind.

Thanks to him, my little dream was becoming a reality. He made everything he could to make the insurance company to pay sooner rather than later. Then, when I had the money to restore my little shop, he and his team were working non-stop to make it look good again. And after a little more than two months "Cupcake's Dream" was finally opened. And somehow became the favorite place for the police force in the town. I was becoming friends with all the men and women from the Force, that were spending their lunch breaks at my shop, trying my pastries and giving me suggestions for new flavors or some twist to my recipes.

The SWAT team was a constant in the shop too. And all that hotness of men in uniforms were attracting women from our and neighboring towns all the time. Like today. Dax and his team mates came into the shop, still wearing their black clothes from a SWAT call that had ended good for everyone included in it. The woman they were called to help arrest was cooperating and everything ended better than they imagined. So, they decided to came into the shop to celebrate the "easy job". I don't think anything that they do could be categorized as easy, but...I'm not complaining. Especially when I have a chance to see Dax in his uniform.

"Hey, Cupcake. What you have for us today?" I blinked a few times to get out of my head and make myself present again. Cleo was in front of me, looking around, trying to decide what to try.

"Hey, dumbass, I'm the only one who can call her Cupcake. So, you better stop that or I'll happily rearrange your face."

"Fine, fine. So, what you got for us...Muffin?" Disappointed groans came from all the team.

"Very original, Cleo, don't know how you come up with it."

"Thanks Ralph. I knew you'll appreciate it the most. And speaking of you..." the bell at the door rang and all eyes were turned towards it. Where Caitie walked in, Rebecca right behind her. I didn't tell anything to Caitie, I was used to her being late almost every day, but Dax was having none of it.

"You're late."

"I'm so sorry, we ended in a big traffic jam and we were barely moving for the last hour."

"Your work day start at 6:30 AM, now it's almost noon. What were you doing the whole morning?"

"I..."

"Look, Dax, she was with me. I needed to go to a doctor and needed someone to be with me." Becca couldn't keep her mouth shut even if her life was depending on it.

"And why doing it in her work time?" That made both girls shut up. I was used to it. Since I accepted Caitie to work with me at the shop, she was always late to come, or early to leave. I wasn't sure if she had a full day at work since we opened, but I wasn't paying her a lot, since I didn't have the money yet...and I was happy for all the help I could have, even if it was for a little while.

"Look, she's here right now, that's all that matter, right?"

"Riiight." The sarcasm in Dax's voice was so strong that I wasn't sure how Becca didn't catch it. "And where were you two last night? You know that she has to be home before midnight. That's what we agreed upon."
