Emily
I was lying on a little cloud. It was so soft and engulfing me that I really didn't want to move. Just when I was drifting back to sleep, the most amazing smell hit me. Mmm, coffee. My eyes opened on their own, and before I knew it, I was walking slowly down the stairs of Dax's house following the aroma.
I ended up in his beautiful kitchen where the cupboards were dark grey and the countertops were white marble. There was a kitchen island in the middle of the room with three bar stools next to it. On the far end of the room was the stove where I saw the most breathtaking view I've ever seen. Shirtless Dax. His back was massive... and full of tattoos, as well as his arms. Huh, I didn't know that he had tattoos, not that I've seen him without his long-sleeved uniform.
I guessed he sensed me staring at him because he stopped what he was doing and turned around...aaaand his front was also fully tattooed. All of the ink on him was black and white, and I was really curious to see it up close.
He looked at me and smiled when he saw me yawning and trying to fully awake. Then, something in his eyes changed. They became darker, and I had no idea what had caused that sudden change.
"Um, good morning?" I was happy that I managed to say something that made sense. With my still sleepy head and half naked Dax in front of me, I was proud that I didn't make a fool of myself.
"Good morning, Cupcake. Did you sleep well?" Huh, he called me Cupcake again. It was really strange hearing him call me that, but I liked it.
"Yeah, I felt like I was in a cloud. Everything was so soft and fluffy. I didn't want to get up. "
"Then why did you do it? It's still pretty early." He looked at something behind me, and I followed, seeing a clock that showed it's was 7 o'clock in the morning. Oh, wow. I can't remember the last time I woke so early on my own.
"I smelled the coffee and followed it. Didn't even realize I was moving until I saw you here." He smirked like he knew something. What was happening with him this morning?
"I can see that."
"See what?" I was confused. What was he talking about? I mean, I know that I was still half asleep, but he didn't make any sense. Then he pointed at my lower half, and I looked down.
"Shit!" How can I be so clueless! I was staying in Dax's kitchen wearing one of his T-shirts...and nothing else. The shorts were too long for me to sleep with them so I left them aside and I absolutely forgot about it. And now Dax was having a full view of my bare legs. "Umm, I'll be right back." I turned around with the idea to go back to the room and get the shorts, but Dax was in front of me before I made a couple of steps.
"You stay here. I'll go get them; it'll be quicker." Okay, then. Before I agreed or disagreed with his plan, he was already up the stairs. How can he move so fast? It was so unfair! Seconds later, he came back with shorts in his hand. I reached out for them, but he had a different idea in his head. I was looking at him, sure, that my face was fully confused when he came to me and kneeled. Oh, my...! What was going on!
"Um, what are you doing, Dax?"
"Helping you to put them on. I'm sure it's still hard for you to bend down, so I decided to make it easier for you and help." Huh, he was absolutely right about me and the no bending part, but...the view of shirtless Dax in front of me, on his knee...with that knowing smirk...my brain was an absolute goner.
"Oh." That was the only thing that I managed to say. All the words left my head, and there were just images of Dax doing all kinds of naughty things to me in the exact same position that we were right now. I heard his voice but had no idea what he was saying. I was too caught up in my day dreaming.
