"So let me get this straight" said Frank for the hundredth time that evening.

"This thing can travel through the space time vortex thingy, through- what was it you said?"

"An infinite series of wormholes build by the time lords of Gallofrey" sighed the Doctor "Look Frank, it's all very complicated but the point is, it doesn't matter how it works, it's what we can do with it."

He looked around at them "Think about it, anywhere in time, anywhere in the universe! Just say the word and we can be there!"

The band looked at him impressed.

"Where to doc?" chirped Ray.

The doctor smiled.

"Wherever you want Raymond"

"Uhhh can we go and see the dinosaurs?" Asked Ray

"No, can we go back and visit grandma!" Asked Mikey

"Wait what are the rules?" Asked Frank "I understand you're not allowed to alter the past right? Right?"

"Let's go to the moon!" Yelled Gerard

"No, Jupiter!" Screeched Mikey

"Let's go out of this solar system!" Whooped Ray

"But like, you can't meet yourself right?" Continued Frank "I mean obviously you can't meet yourself? But like, can you meet yourself? What if you kill your grandpa or something?"

"To the futureeee" Cried Ray

"Noooo, the past!!!" Whined Mikey

"Okay okay, one at a time please" interrupted the Doctor with a chuckle.

"Raymond, of course we can't meet the dinosaurs they would eat you alive.

Mikey, yes, you can visit your grandmother one day but I'm afraid Jupiter is off the table for humans.

The moon? Seriously Gerard I'm sure you can be more creative than that.

And to answer your questions Frank, there is no rules! Go bananas!"

"No rules??" Exclaimed Frank, looking concerned

"That was creative!" Cried Gerard "I've never been to the moon before."

"What about the vegetarian dinosaurs?!" Mused Ray "Also we should totally go to the future guys"

"Noo, the future sucks. The past is cooler sorry Ray" said Mikey

"But like, I don't want to alter the past right. Sure that makes more dimensions? Do you want more dimensions?" Frank warbled confusedly.

"Look fellas" said the Doctor "cool your beans okay. No need to get your delicate human innards in a twist over this, leave it to the big man. I'll decide where we go"

The band shrugged a "sure" as the doctor started fiddling with the controls.

"This will blow your mind" he told them as he cranked a big lever up and down, steam started coming out of the panel and the tardis made weird noises as they felt it flyyy away.

"We're here!" He told them as the tardis huffed and puffed its way down to land.

"Where?" Asked Gerard.

"You know, now that you mention it, I'm not entirely sure. Now this doesn't usually happen but the tardis is experiencing a bit of difficulty as of late. Now don't get me wrong it's an easy fix if you have the means but to be completely honest, me landing on earth tonight wasn't exactly on purpose."

Frank gaped "You mean you don't have control over this thing?"

"Well, yes, I mean not entirely at the moment but, I can estimate roughly where we're going. And the tardis wouldn't put us in danger, well you can never be sure but-"

"So.... We might die" Frank said incredulously.

"Oh that's very unlikely" the doctor laughed nervously. "We're only on earth, just a few centuries in the past"

The band looked uncertainly at each other.

"Cool" shrugged Ray eventually

"Hell yeah, we're in the past babyy" said Mikey opening the door and stepping out.

Ray and The Doctor followed suit

Frank held back nervously.

"Hey, it'll be fine" said Gerard, putting his hand in Frank's.

"It's just" said Frank "how do we know we can trust him?"

"We can't know for sure" sighed Gerard "but I trust him. He saved your life after all"

"I guess" murmured Frank

"C'mon Frank" Gerard pulled him gently towards the door "YOLO"
