"Doctor!" Exclaimed Ray and Mikey in unison
"Come on you two!" The Doctor waded into the water, Ray and Mikey by his side.
"Gerard keep fighting" he said, approaching him. "If he gets too powerful, the fire could possess you too!"
Gerard splashed more water onto Frank who gave an almighty roar and breathed flames into his face.
Gerard ducked, sobbing "it's no use!" he choked
"Don't let Frank down!" Said the Doctor, reaching out to grasp Gerard's shoulder "He's your friend Gerard, your band mate, you love him!"
Gerard turned around to see the time lord and his brother and his friend with their hands on his shoulder reassuringly. He looked back around at the flaming, writhing, whistling fire in front of him.
"Frank needs me!" He thought and using all the strength he had, put both hands on him and dunked him into the river.
A cloud of steam obliterated his vision momentarily, but he didn't let go. Frank splashed and writhed underwater, until it was boiling hot, but still Gerard did not let go.
He felt his hands go red raw in the heat of the bubbling water, but still he didn't let go.
He gasped in the red hot pain shooting up his arm as the fire in Frank tried to fight back.
"I- I- I don't think I can't hold on much longer..." he felt like he was going to pass out but suddenly he felt his friends all around him, holding Frank down as his flames were slowly doused in the boiling water.
And then it stopped.
The water slowly cooled, The Doctor, Gerard, Mikey and Ray shakily let go as Franks body floated gently to the surface.
"Frank!" Gerard reached out to grab him. He wasn't warm anymore, in fact he was unusually cold.
"He's dead!" He cried, looking back at the Doctor
"No!" Shouted the Doctor, grabbing Frank and pulling him out.
He dragged his limp body onto the river bank and began immediately doing cpr.
"Ah ah ah ah stayin alive stayin alive" the Doctor sang urgently.
Frank still wasn't breathing.
"He needs mouth to mouth resuscitation!" Screeched Mikey "Gerard did first aid training once, he can do it!"
"Go on Gerard" encouraged the Doctor, stepping worriedly away from Frank.
"Okay" breathed Gerard, frantically putting his arms around Frank's head as he lowered his face to Frank's.
He opened Frank's lips and put his lips to his, blowing into Frank's mouth.
"Come on Gerard!" Yelled Ray "you can do it."
Gerard blew and blew until finally he felt Frank's breath.
Frank sat up suddenly, coughing up water.
"Wha what-" he spluttered, then saw Gerard still leaning over him, blushing worriedly.
"Did you just kiss me?" He asked, grinning weakly.
"No- I- you were dying" Gerard said flustered.
"HE'S ALIVE!" Cheered Mikey
