"Absolutely, thank you so much! ...yeah... mhm.. byeee!"
Gerard hung up and flipped his phone closed, shaking his head in giddy disbelief. He looked up to see that everyone was staring at him expectantly.
"Who was it? What'd they say?" Asked Mikey
Gerard could barely contain his excitement to tell everyone, but he shook his head mysteriously. "I'll tell you later" he said tapping his nose, producing a disappointed groan from the rest of the room.
"C'mon Gerarrd just tell uss" whined Frank
"Yeah, you didn't just squeal like a girl for no reason, what happened dude??" asked Bill
"Uurgh okay fine but..." he looked a bit nervous now "Okay never mind I'll tell you. It was Brian"
"Who??" Asked Ted and the Doctor at the same time.
"Our manager" Ray explained
"Yeahh he was a bit pissed with us for sort of um- well, abandoning him. But anyway, apparently the organisers of Warped Tour had contacted him and... they want us to headline it with Fall Out Boy"
"OH MY GOD WE'RE GONNA PLAY AT WARPED TOUR!?" Squealed Frank, clutching Gerard's arm and jumping up and down.
"Well-" Gerard started
"I CANT BELIEVE IT THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE!" Exclaimed Ray
"THATS SO BLUMIN COOL!!" Cried Rose
"I'm so happy for you guys" the Doctor smiled sadly
"HIGH FIVE DUDES!" Shouted Ted, putting his hand out in front of Mikey
"With Fall Out Boy? Yayyy!!!" Mikey shook Ted's hand then hesitantly turned to the Doctor "B-but what about Time Tour?" Ted slowly put his hands down disappointedly
"does this mean that we have to leave the Doctor?" Mikey sobbed
"Ohh shit yeah" said Frank quietly
"We... we can say no to Brian?" Offered Ray
"It's fiiine you guys" said the Doctor "This is a brilliant opportunity, you can't pass this one off just for me!"
"Not any more brilliant than traveling with you" said Gerard "and anyway, I... I didn't say yes to Brian"
"You fucking WHAT?" Demanded Frank, Gerard hung his head "I can't believe you actually passed off on going to ACTUAL FUCKING WARPED TOUR!!"
"I didn't say no" Gerard whimpered "I just said we'd think about it..."
But Frank didnt seem to hear him "Seriously Gerard!!! This is our chance to get properly big, to make life long friends, to have the time of our life!"
"But we can do all those things with The Doctor" said Mikey
"FUCK THE DOCTOR" Cried Frank, Mikey gasped.
"Woahh dude" Bill whispered quietly "don't say that"
"I'm sorry" said Gerard mournfully "I didn't want to let anyone down. We've been having so much fun with The Doctor, I... I shouldn't have told you"
"You what?!" Frank seethed "You cant just keep things from us Gerard! We're a band, we have to make decisions together"
"Aright aright, why dont we sort this out later" said Ray, stepping between them "now lets go outside and enjoy being in Ancient Rome!"
"Whatever" Frank huffed as the opened the doors "I need a smoke"
"Are you sure thats wise?" Rose ventured, wilting when Frank gave her an icy glare "I mean coz you literally just got possessed by some sort of Fire Demon didnt you" she explained. Frank rolled his eyes and lit one up anyway.
But the tension seemed to melt away as the Doctor flung open the heavy doors and with a flourish, extended his hand towards the vast Roman Empire.
