When Ziana gave me about a 911 about some guy I didn't even think twice to know more about him before i freed him from the holding cell he was locked in. I didn't do it for him, i did it for her... maybe even for us.

A few hours have gone by and by now i have been working on any minor cases that i can just to occupy myself, or should i say distract myself from the fact the snobby lawyers took over my case.

"Okay all Officers To my left Report to parole duty for these offenders and report back to me by the end of the evening." I say sliding the sheet of paper towards them with the details of the criminals on them.

"All officers to my right, Go around the city and make sure to scan for any suspicious activity happening in the vicinity, Especially with drug activity." I order to my other side with one hand in my pocket and the other leaning forward on the Long Board room table.

"Officer Smith you stay with me today, Officer Kai and Officer Jordan I need you guys to stay back to listen for the 911 emergency service and for any word from the Lawyers on the Case, I want any information they give you hear me?"

"Yes chief." They replied before i gave them a nod to get to work, After rushing out of the meeting room I'm left alone with Paxton,

"I have to say im surprised that you chose me to do some work with you today chief, Is it my birthday and I forgot?" He smirks

"Stop the cheap talk alright? Look i need a favour from you and i cant have you telling anyone about this." His eyebrow raises as he crosses his arms, leaning against the Wall with his hands tucked underneath the hard vest on his chest,

"Finally, the Devious Roman is back. After time with Little miss sunshine I thought we lost you for Good." I squint at him not even having enough time to cuss him out,

My feet rush to the Door shutting it closed,

"The lawyers wont let me so much as have a single say on the el rey de la sangre case and refuse to give me any control." I grunt, Plopping my body into the seat at the head of the table

"Well obviously, Its a federal investigation. And with the judge's approval Its gone much further than officers to handle it-" He debates, Rubbing a hand on his crisp uniform bottoms,

"Look, i know what I'm onto here. Yes I admit i may have gotten slightly off track with this whole Will and marriage situation but i can never forget why i am going so hard on this case, i picked you for this because i thought you of all people could understand where im coming from." He shuts his eyes painfully when a memory snaps him back into focus,

"I get it. Henry was a good man and he was also my uncle, His life shouldn't have been threatened like that in the first place-"

"Well it was. Because I wasn't old enough to defend my old man from his enemies, So the least i can do is defend his honour. He never went down without a fight and i dont plan on it either." My knuckles tighten in their own grip making a cracking sound when i pull them close together,

"I hear that chief. One question, Why do you need me? Why now?" Paxton slowly walks up to the other end of the long table pulling the chair backwards for himself
