We are all sat around the bedside, in her dull hospital room. The dim sunlight just barely making it into the blue tinted room with ducks and Toys plastered on the walls. my Innocent lacey. Our little soldier girl fighting as she always is sitting in paxton's lap as he rocks her back and forth almost glued to her very skin.

"You're moving?!" I whisper shout so she doesn't wake up. When paxton told me him and Savannah were packing everything up and moving out of Philadelphia i almost blasted a bullet from the sheer shock of it all.

"Miller, We have to move! My baby girl just got slit like she were a piece of paper and no one can identify who did it. It's not safe for us here anymore." Savannah cuts in standing up from her chair which she was once glued to.

Her eyes are bloodshot red from all the crying she's been doing and the skin around her nose looks irritated from the tissue she's been using to wipe at it.

"Well we will check the cctv cameras, we will get our greatest detectives on the job by tonight if we have to."i protest,

"No Roman, no! No more of this crap. I've wanted to move ever since the last case and Paxton started getting death threats sent to our door." By the last case she means the case where he unethically arrested a black man who by the way he had the wrong identification for.

"If anything that should show you that things will change! This will blow over in a months time and things will get back to normal!"

"Normal? Normal! My soldier girl has just been slit on her arm like it was nothing and you want to talk about normal? They could've killed her!" If Paxton moves, the case will be reassigned to me which means i wont get to go further with Ziana's groomer's case. That cannot happen.

"Besides if i stay here, it's not going to be as an officer, its going to be forming my own damn gang and killing off all the people who had anything to do with hurting my baby girl. I won't rest until i do." Lacey stirs in his arms at his voice getting louder with anger and when he accidentally squeezes her arm from anger where the cut is.

Its been covered over by some white bandages taped over her arm. Thankfully I didn't see the gauged wound in person or else I would've joined Paxton's gang myself.

But the picture Savannah showed me of the bright red Blood Slit going deep through her arm was enough for me to try understand what they're talking about.

"I understand that but-"

"No buts roman! Im not doing it anymore. You said we should stay the last time and we did but now this is enough, how much more danger must our family endure before a change happens in this city! Im not having it, we aren't having it." If her eyes could pierce holes through my head by the way she is glaring at me right now, they would.

"Savannah, just give it a rest. He gets the picture." Paxton says tucking a strand of his daughters blonde hair behind her ear,

"Give it a rest? Are you kidding me right now?! You give it a rest! My baby almost died and you're still taking his side? Well let's see how much he'll be there for you when i take Lacey and we move out the city ourselves." Savannah rushes over to him and lifts Lacey into her arms.
