"Not you too..." i pressed a hand against my forehead dropping my pen onto my desk. The past few days have been hard enough as it is not to add any of this news into the growing mess.

"Chief you know i wish i had your bravery to stay over here but they came for my wife i have no choice." Officer kai utters ashamedly his head turning from me.

He stormed into my office the first thing this morning slamming down the card sized photo with the symbol of the el rey de la sangre on it. They are coming for everyone connected to me, everyone who gets closer to them being arrested.

They are harming everyone else's family members to make a message to mine but little do they know i only have one person that i care for, one person that they could have harmed and i let her go before they got the chance to.

Now im the only one left for those weak devils to try.

"I understand. The did the same thing to another man in our office except to his child so trust me I understand what you're going through." He smites shaking his head.

"No offence chief but you know absolutely nothing about this. About seeing your loved one break down after getting tortured. You have no idea." I've never heard such bitterness from officer kai before but i guess that's what love does to you.

"I need to be the one to get up and go with our family before it's too late."

"You're just going to let this pathetic gang run us all out of Philadelphia? You're going to let them take over the town with their crime-"

"They're killing us Miller what am i supposed to do? Just stay still and let them? I might as well just hand them my gun and show them the exact spot to shoot." He exclaims gripping onto the handles of his chair.

"The way i see it, we should be the one with the guns finding the targets to shoot our damn selves!" I match his loudness with my own standing up from behind my desk and pacing around the room.

"My men have let me down when i needed them the most. All of them weak and pathetic, running off as soon as they had the opportunity to. How i see it if we aren't fast enough that gang will be running the town in a matter of weeks..." i begin, Stopping at the window and staring outside to the view of the Philadelphian streets,

"They'll have the authority, they'll have all of the power they'll be the ones to put the fear of God in people and all because of what? Because our police officers who made a pledge to protect this city with all our might have fled to safety while the city burns down in front of our faces." I scorn watching the people pass by walking down the streets so unknown of what this city will become in just a little while.

"Just wait." I turn my head around when officer Kai starts to speak, my body still facing away from him.

"Sure you feel like superman right now, Like you can conquer it all by yourself. Like the power is all in your hands right? But Just wait until they get one of yours, until your wife is crying in your arms traumatised with ptsd because she's been beaten by these people to the point where she blacked out-"
