"Iris-Neriah, come on in baby it's time to go to sleep." I plead with my hands crossed against my chest, as i lean against the doorframe.

She's been staying outside in the evening sun every single day hoping to see an elephant passing by ever since she's read the children's book that has pop out pictures of elephants the second you open it,

She shakes her head, the clear and pink beads clinking together at the force of it. Her back turning away from me as she stands on the couch to try and see over the white brick balcony.

The second we got this money, We wasted no time building the life we wanted in South Africa it still feels like a dream in some sense,

The perfectly squared shaped house filled with a long hallway to the entrance door at the front, the white walls protect the black framed glass doors behind the silver gates.

At the front of the house is a huge black gate that protects the plot that we bought, There are a few beautiful plotted plants at its front beside the car gates.

The balcony at the back of the house is beautiful, its where my stubborn little iris is and has a huge Seating area, theres only too big of a round couch at the right side of me which she stands on,

It overlooks the entire field behind it, the huge field that we plant our own foods and plants in. Its my dream, and the orange sunset is like the cherry on top.

There are plastic candles lit in glasses at each corner and a big Bowl in the centre of the floor underneath stones that we use to light fires,

From time to time when the lights cut out in the city, we come outside to the garden, light a fire and just watch the fields,

Rarely do we get different wild animals that visit us and have a feast eating our crops, but I can never forget the time that i heard her squeal from the kitchen while she cried out that she saw a zebra.

This is the life i have always dreamed of, and because of roman i have it.

"Come on Iris, Daddy is going to be back any time from now." She grunts shaking her head at me yet again looking over the couch at the fields,

Roman has been living with his head stuck at work ever since he got here, he comes home every day telling me how much he loves his job because of how much opportunity he has here.

I roll my eyes finally walking up to Her in my Navy blue tribal printed Kafta that blows in the warm wind,

"Mommy the Eli-fant" she says in her childlike pronunciation protesting with a pout pointing to the field.

"Iris, how many times i gotta tell you, eli-Fants don't come round this end baby." i grunt picking her up from behind watching her fuss before holding onto me,

I peck her big cheeks tucking a tight beaded braid behind her ear and admiring how perfect my baby girl truly is.

Her skin is so dark it shines against the orange evening sun, her big brown eyes and long eyelashes look exactly like mine.
