Chapter 22

It had been a week since Ofelia told us we would fight Ashleigh's minions, leaving us just a week to train. All we had done lately was train it was getting really tiring.

Peace shouted me over to the kitchen in our cabin, "Look, don't say anything to Olivia". Confused I waited for him to show me whatever it was. He pulled out a small red box, inside was a gorgeous white gold ring that had a big diamond in the middle and diamonds in a twisty pattern on the ring. It must have cost him a lot and the smile on his face was so adorable.

"Once this war is over I'm going to move to Seattle in Washington and Olivia's gonna be my wife" he said smiling away. "I'm going to start my life with the one person I truly love" he smiled.

A single tear ran down my cheek, I was so happy for him but I was going to miss him so much. "You never told me what happened to Becca?" I questioned him. He laughed before he spoke "turns out she was going to dump me for Keane anyway". I stood there shocked why on earth would you want Keane? Who knows but seeing Olivia and Peace plan their life out made me question what will happen with me and Leo.

"I'm going to propose tonight" he said, I gave him a hug before saying "good luck".

As I walked back into the living room I noticed Leo had just got back from training. He smiled as he seen me enter the room and he opened his arms for me to hug him. As I walked over slowly he ran at me embracing me into his arms making me laugh.

"You know" he said "I've got a surprise for you tonight" he smiled cheekily. "Oh really?" I said raising my eyebrow. He nodded his head, " So be ready for 6pm" he said before getting up and leaving with Peace.

Olivia walked in just as they left, Peace gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and left.

"Peace texted me and told me to be ready for 6pm, you don't know what he's got planned do you?" she questioned me. "No but Leo told me practically the same thing" I replied.

Looking at the clock I realized it was half 4 already and with nothing better to do, me and Olivia decided to get ready now.

Olivia left her fringe out whilst she did two braids that went round the back of her head. She then put on a dark brown eye shadow, creating a smokey eye effect and adding a winged eye effect. She then put on her signature red lipstick before putting on a dark red skater skirt with a white bralet and a light blue blazer. Before slipping on her light brown heel boots and putting on her long owl necklace and the bracelet Peace bought her.

I decided to wear my white long sleeve top with my dark blue skater skirt that had white birds over it. I then put on my gold grown necklace on with my black heeled boots.

Looking at my reflection I decided to go for pink tones behind my eyes, but using my eyeliner to make my eyes seem a bit dark. Applying a nude lipstick I decided to put my hair in a boho braid at the front. I pulled it a bit so it looked a little more messy and gripped the last bit behind my ear. I noticed Olivia in the doorway and she came in and sat on my bunk.

"What do you think will happen, you know when this war is over?" she said. Honestly I didn't know what to tell her. "I don't know, but we will be okay" I said, Olivia just gave me a slight smile before we heard Leo and Peace enter downstairs.

Me and Olivia decided to go meet them as we walked down the stairs Peace locked eyes with Olivia the whole time, whereas me and Leo didn't even look at each other. That's just us I suppose. "Let's go then" Leo said to me, before Peace patted him on the shoulder. What was going on?

As we walked into the middle of the woods we came across a table, that had a chandelier hanging from a tree and candles on the table. I turned round and smiled a Leo, "Did you do all this?" I asked him. He nodded his head he walked over to one of the chairs and pulled it out gesturing for me to sit. I did gratefully before he ran over to his chair. "Meg I need to tell you something" Leo said, this made me feel nervous why? I don't know. I nodded my head signaling him to go on. "So today I spoke with Ofelia and she told me about your immortality. I know that I'm not going to be around forever Meg but I love you. So I begged Ofelia for a way to get Immortality and she told me that someone who died last week in intellect, that she was keeping quiet he had immortality that nobody picked up on" He said. "Wait why did someone die in intellect?" I asked. "They had been sick a while, they just couldn't fight it anymore" he explained. "Anyway Ofelia has the power to transfer or change someone elses power, and because this boy had died she gave me immortality" he said smiling at me. "She also gave me resurrection, superhuman speed and possession" he said finally. "Well you got pretty amazing powers then didn't you" I said laughing, he just smiled at me.

"Now I know I'm mean't to be with you, I'd do anything for you Meg Whitely" he smiled at me. I blushed and looked down at the table. Next thing I knew Leo was down on one knee beside me, my eyes widened in realization as to what he was doing.

"Meg Whitely, will you marry me? I know we are still young but I'd rather spend eternity with you more than anyone else" he said.

I looked at him, I couldn't even speak. Did I want to marry him?
