Chapter 9

Arriving back at the cave me and Peace jumped out of his car and made our way towards the training room. I noticed Ofelia placing the last punching bag in place.

Edging myself towards her I seen the grin Peace had on his face and feared the worst.

"Good afternoon Meg, hope your prepared for today" she spoke loudly. I nodded my head unsure of what's going to happen.

"First Meg we will see how strong you really are" she said rather quickl. "Go stand in the boxing ring" she ordered.

I looked over at the ring and seen Peace stood inside it.

Wait PEACE? Oh no I'm going to have to fight him aren't I, great!

Slowly making my way towards to ring I noticed the smile on Peaces face, he knew that he was going to have to fight me and he knew I had no clue on how to fight.

Standing in the ring I felt more nervous than ever, I didn't even know how to control my powers.

"Don't worry kid, I won't hurt you to bad" he sniggered with a sly wink. I crinkled my nose as a response.

"Right Meg this will show us how strong you truly are, if you manage to knock Peace down we know how much we must train you but, hardly anyone ever knocks Peace down" she laughed after explaining this to me.

Okay now I was scared, I can't knock Peace down, I can hardly open the lid on my bottle half the time.

Putting my arms up to my chest I stood like a statue not knowing what to do next, Peace grinned mirroring my actions, before coming towards me and trying to hit me.

Nervously I pushed him arm away from me and he stumbled back, I then punched him in the chest before jumping and kicking him, managing to knock him down quickly.

Where did that come from? I ran out of breath walking up a flight of stairs half the time, then I remembered I have superhuman speed.

Ofelia stood in awe as she looked from Peace to me and back again.

"Well you seem to have a good stamina" she said slightly shocked.

I heard Peace whimper and turned to help him up, but to my surprise he grabbed my leg and pulled me down, making me hit the back of my head on the boxing ring.

Peace then sat above me and went to punch my head, luckily I moved my head and he missed before I pushed him off and hit him in the face about 5 times.

He lay unconscious and I was shocked with my own actions.

Ofelia laughed and then spoke "ahh Peace never wanting to loose but now he's lost to a girl, we must not let him live this down" she said with an evil chuckle.

"Let's go to the next station" she said.

Next station I thought? Is she going to make me test all seven of my powers?

We were stood in the middle of the gym when Ofelia told me to stop.

"You see that cup over in the other room, beside the desk?" She spoke, to this I nodded. "I want you to get it for me".

As I went to go grab it she stopped me.

"No not like that, I want you to use your elasticity to get it."

I gulped I hadn't even tried my elasticity out so how was I supposed to do this.

I put my arm out in front of me and closed my eyes. Once I opened them I concentrated on the cup in the other room, and slowly my arm began to stretch. In my head I was freaking out a little, but I reached the cup and brought it back almost instantly.
