Missing Pieces of a Broken Heart

Family?

"Father?!"

"Daughter?!"

They both seemed more shocked, then angry and that relieved me. I looked at them waiting for them to say anything.

"Wednesday we were together and in love, how could you take off without informing me we were going to have a baby."

"Xavier, I'm sorry but when I tired to tell you it was the day you lashed out on me, and my emotions were already all over the place." I was really trying to plead with him.

"Communication Wednesday, whenever you were pissed what did I do I stayed patient and always waited for you to calm down, no matter how many times you snapped on me." He was getting teary eyed.

"Xavier, I am truly sorry. Please forgive me."

"Of course cara mia," He spoke using the nickname from when we were kids.

FLASHBACK

"Why were you and Bianca hugging, she's your ex Xavier!"

"It was a friendly hug to signify no bad blood that's it Wednesday."

"Yes, I believe YOU but it's her I don't trust."

He quickly grabbed me by my waist and yanked me towards him. "I'll only have eyes for you cara mia."

Just like that those little bats were doing dances in my stomach, I'll never admit how much I adore his nicknames.

END FLASHBACK

I smile thinking about the fond memory and for just a moment all I see is Xavier.

"YES!" Rose screamed.

We both looked at her puzzled. "I've always wanted a father and a sister, and to tell me that I've inherited Mr. Thorpe's talent is even more exciting." She squealed running to hug Miracle.

"Happy you have your dream family, in other news have I mentioned I know 60 different ways of torture." Miracle spoke glaring at Rose.

"Miracle." Xavier said in a warning tone.

"Father, you know how I feel about human contact, also I'm allergic to colors." The girl said pushing away Rose.

"So, what now?" Xavier asked.

"I'll leave and allow you three to get acquainted." I stated quickly rushing out of the room.

There was more to be told, I just didn't have the heart to say it.

NO ONES POV

"So what do you girls wanna do, I can take you guys into town and let you shop." Xavier said.

Rose jumped up with excitement. "That'd be great Mr. Thorpe!"

Xavier shifted a little. "Rose, you can call me Xavier outside of class, Mr. Thorpe seems so formal.

"Ok . . . Xavier let's go."

Rose grabbed Miracle's hand pulling her out the dorm room as their father followed closely behind them. They swiftly made their way across the rather large campus, but before they could leave they ran into principal Weems.

"Going somewhere Mr. Thorpe?"

"Just going into town for a bit."

"I'm sorry, but teacher's cannot take students off campus, unless it is an authorized field trip."

Xavier shifted uncomfortably hoping she'd take this news well. "About that . . . I'm not taking them off campus as a teacher, I'm taking them off campus as their . . . father."

The older woman's jaw dropped. "You and Ms. Addams managed to sneak around under my supervision!" She sounded more shocked that they were able to sneak around under her strict rules.

The boy nodded as she started to speak again. "And you two have twins!"

"Not exactly principal Weems, Miracle is just my child not Wednesday's."

"That's odd she is the splitting image of Wednesday and even has her allergy of colors, anyways carry on Mr. Thorpe have them back so they can be ready for class." Principal Weems waved goodbye leaving.

Xavier was thinking about what she said.

FLASHBACK- October 19, 2010

"Xavier?"

The boy turned his head hearing his name seeing that it was Bianca.

"Hey, Bianca."

"What brings you to Jersey?"

"Wednesday."

He saw a flash of panic on the girls face before it quickly disappeared.

"I know you guys have gotten close, have you seen her?" Xavier asked hoping the answer was yes.

"She actually just went out of town."

"Dammit."

The rest of the conversation is a blur after that, all he remembers is seeing her walk away and having a sudden urge to go to the adoption agency.

WEDNESDAY'S POV

I was panicking, I may have listened in on Weems and Xavier's conversation and the more people saw Xavier with both girls, the closer he'd get to the truth.
