The aftermath of the tornado was grim. It had swept through the town completely unexpectedly. Many people had died, and even more were missing.
Lying in the rubble, Lien raised his head and looked around. He saw Khael sit up a few feet away. Lying next to him, unconscious, was Yubin. Junhyuck was already standing and pulling a large piece of wood off of Siyoung's legs. Douhyun was helping him. The only one not seen was Dongpyo.
As soon as Lien started to stand up, he got dizzy and fell back down. A paramedic soon arrived and started treating everyone for their wounds. Lien ended up having a concussion, Siyoung had two broken legs, and Yubin was admitted to the hospital. Everyone else had only minor scratches and bruises. Dongpyo was still missing.
Two weeks passed. Yubin was released, and Lien's concussion was better. Each day more and more bodies were discovered among the rubble of the wreckage from the tornado and each day, they were relieved to see that Dongpyo was not one of the casualties although he still had yet to appear.
More and more time passed with no news of Dongpyo. Siyoung's casts came off, still no Dongpyo. Three months after the tornado, they held a fan sign. Dongpyo was not there. Stages were held without him. A comeback came and went. The members started losing hope that he would ever be found.
On the one year anniversary of the tornado, an official statement was released. Son Dongpyo, our precious boy, disappeared in the tornado last year. We have presumed his body ended up in some body of water, and that is why we have not found him. We regret to inform our beloved fans, Now, but we do not believe he is still alive. We hope his soul rests in peace.
The news made the headline. SON DONGPYO: DEAD OR ALIVE, THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF SON DONGPYO, WHERE IS DONGPYO, and so on. Dongpyo took up the top three hashtags trending on Twitter and Instagram. Fans from all over made videos of their favorite Dongpyo moments in tribute to him. The fans were heartbroken, the members as well. They had lost all hope.
Life continued on. Mirae had another comeback and another, but the feeling of the group was different. Dongpyo was no longer there to spoil every bit of the album before it could be released. He was no longer making his jokes and lighting up the room. He was missed by all.

The monitor beeped continuously. The boy attached to the monitor seemed to be sleeping peacefully. The doctor came in to check on his vitals and left again. "I'm afraid, if he doesn't wake up soon, we may have to stop treatment. It's been almost two years since we found him on that beach, and he hasn't woken up in all of that time."
"Don't give up hope," one of the nurses said. "God is with us."
The doctor nodded and walked down the hall to attend to the next patient.
Back in the room, the boy slowly opened his eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar room. "Where am I?" He wondered. He tried to stand up, but his legs were to stiff. He thought back to what he remembered. "There was a tornado," he said aloud. "The tornado picked me up and hit me in the head with a piece of wood. That's the last thing I remember."
"Oh! You're awake!" A nurse said poking her head into the room. "How do you feel?" "A little bit weak."
"Well that's to be expected. You've been lying in this bed for almost two years."
"Two years!?" The boy half screamed.
The nurse nodded. "We'll start your physical therapy tomorrow."
Six months of physical therapy later, the boy was released. The hospital ordered him a taxi to the address he gave and paid for it as well.
The boy knocked on the door. The door was opened slowly by Siyoung who let out a shriek and fainted. Yubin and Junhyuck came running but stopped in their tracks when they saw the boy.
"Are you real?" Yubin asked.
"What else would I be Yubin-ssi?" The boy asked.
Yubin ran to him and hugged him bursting into sobs. "We thought you were dead," he cried. "We released a statement a year and half ago. Where were you?"
Dongpyo looked at him. "I'm not dead. I'll explain when everyone is here. First, let's help Siyoung."
Dongpyo and Junhyuck carried Siyoung to his room and then called all the members and the managers to come to the dining room. Siyoung joined soon after.
Dongpyo sat down and started to explain what had happened to him. "I was in a coma for two years after which I needed six months of physical therapy. I was released earlier today and came straight here."
"We missed you," Lien said "Now also really missed you," Douhyun added in.
A live was set up and six of the members appeared. "Now everyone, we have a surprise for you!" Dongpyo then walked into the frame and explained again where he had been. The live ended, and Dongpyo looked around at his loving members. He smiled. He was home at last.
A/N I wrote this when I had two tornadoes near my house. I live in an area that doesn't often get tornadoes, but we had two in one day. It was scary, but thankfully, no one was hurt.
