Minho had been labeled a broken omega his whole life. He watched as all his friends got their first heats and mated while he sat on the sidelines. He had often ended up in detention in his high school days for standing up for himself and not submitting to any of the alphas around him. The same would be true in a relationship. Whenever anyone showed interest in him, he would fight for dominance. No one said very long, and Minho found he rather liked it when they all left him alone.
By the time high school ended and he still hadn't gone into heat once, he had a full examination that confirmed what he already suspected. He would never go into heat, and he would never be able to carry a child. He didn't take the news too hard because he . had decided long ago that he was better off alone.
After he had graduated high school, he had wondered what career to go into, and as he had always loved dancing since he was a young child, he decided to become a dancer. He became one of the best dancers of the school, and pretty soon, he was hired on as a dance teacher in an entertainment company. He loved his job, and he was content with the way his life was turning out.
Not long after he started working, he met a producer named Chan who took him under his wing and taught him the ropes of working in the company. The two became good friends and would often work together, Minho making choreography for the songs that Chan wrote. Not long after that, another producer by the name of Changbin joined the team and was welcomed into the fold. The three of them became very close and would often hang out after work.
One morning, Minho, running late to his class because he had overslept, ran into another smaller guy wearing glasses, knocking him down. "I'm so sorry," he said as he put out his arm to help him up, but the smaller boy just stared at him. "Are you okay?" Minho asked. The boys seemed to break out of his duper and took the offered hand. "I'm okay," he reassured Minho. "Do you know where the music studio is? I'm late for an appointment but I can't find it."
"Of course," Minho told him. "I'll show you the way."
"Thabk you. My name is Jisung. What's yours?"
"I'm Minho."
After their introductions, they walked in comfortable silence until they reached the area of the music studios. "Whose Studio are you looking for?" Minho asked.
"Changbin," Jisung answered as they turned the corner. There he stood, next to Chan. "I didn't know you two knew each other," he said."We don't," Minho responded before hurriedly excusing himself to get to his dance class. The rest of the day passed quickly and uneventfully. At the end of the day, he went back up to Changbin's studio only to fund Jisung still there.
Over the next few days, Jisung came often, and pretty soon he too became part of the gang, having already been friends with both Chan and Changbin from before. Not long after that, Jisung and Minho were hanging out on their own without Chan or Changbin there.
"Minho," Jisung asked him after they had been hanging out for a few months, "I want to go to the amusement park. Can you come with me?"
"Sure," Minho nodded. The two headed of to the amusement park together. When they got there, Jisung got Minho a car ear headband and himself a bear ear one as they didn't have a squirrel one. They snapped a selfie and walked into the park.
They spent the day going from ride to ride and having fun all the while. They were headed towards the roller coaster when Jisung turned towards Minho. "You know the hierarchy?" He asked Minho. Minho nodded his head.
"I think," Jisung continued, "that we should abolish it. We're all just people," but Minho didn't hear him, too deep into his own head. No one will ever love me, he thought. I'm to broken and I'm a useless Omega. I can never carry any kids. There's no way anyone can love me.
"Earth to Minho," Jisung waved his hands in front of Minho's face. Minho blinked and looked back at Jisung. "You okay?" He asked. Minho nodded but the atmosphere had been ruined and he wanted to return home. Jisung agreed and dropped him off at his house.
Minho fell into a depressive episode and didn't leave his bed for the next week and a half. Chan came by a few times to check on him and Changbin would make him food. Jisung stopped by once as well but Minho just burst into tears when he saw him so he stayed away because he didn't want to hurt the older.
After a week and a half, Minho was woken up by a call from Chan. "Minho," can started as sin as he picked up. "Jisung needs you. He was at my house with Changbin and he went into heat. He keeps calling your name and he won't let me or Changbin near him. He stole your sweatshirt that you left at my house the other day and he keeps smelling it. Come as soon as you can."
Minho was out the door before Chan was finished talking. Jisung needed him. Now was no time for depression. He ran all the way to Chan's house and found Changbin waiting outside waiting for him. He led him to the living room where Jisung was laying on the couch half cuddling Minho's sweatshirt crying out his name. His face was red and flushed and his eyes were dotted with tears.
"Jisung," Minho softly called, "I'm here." Jisung turned to look at him and immediately connected their lips. Minho froze for a second before kissing back. Maybe it doesn't matter that I'm a broken omega, he thought. Maybe I can still be happy with Jisung. My Jisung.
Minho helped Jisung through his heat and afterwards they talked. They talked about Minho's insecurities and Jisung showed him that he was lovable and amazing even with his challenges. They officially started dating a week later and five years after that, they were married. Minho still struggled from time to time and Jisung was always there helping him. The two were perfect for each other and they were happy together. Minho never had to be lonely again.
