Matt's POV
Becca had been gone for a while, and it was starting to worry me. She sounded really worried when her phone went off and hasn't come back down since.
I climbed up off the couch and made my way to her room, hearing voices from the other side of the door. Silently, I opened the door and stepped inside. Becca was pacing around the ceiling to floor window on the other side of the room, looking out to the Chicago skyline.
"Look, we need everyone there Gabe." Becca's icy voice cut the silence, not even noticing me. "No, I don't mean just you and Joe, I mean use your contacts and get Patrick and Gerard there stat...No this isn't about him...Gabe it's complicated but you need to listen to me, Action Cat is a psychopath and the only way we can get some answers is from Gerard....Don't ask why, it'll all make sense later. Just meet me there tonight and they better be there." She snapped around and jumped back in surprise. "Matt! Uhhhh......How long were you there?"
"Long enough to know something's wrong." I answered. "How do you know about Gabe and Action Cat?" I demanded, knowing there was more to Becca than I already knew.
"It's a long story." She silenced me.
"Becca this isn't time for one of your excuses." I snapped. "What do you know about Action Cat?" I repeated, glaring her down since I was a whole foot taller than her.
She glared right back up at me, her eyes showing a mixture of hate, anger, and pure terror. "Action Cat is a psycho. They are the ones responsible for all the shit that has happened. Aubrey, Ryland, Andy, all of it. They're the ones responsible." She snarled. "And you know what Mixon? It's all just to get at me and my friends. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's just for shits I don't know. But what I do know is that they think it's fucking hilarious to see my life fall apart."
"You?" I scoffed. "Just because someone shot your boyfriend doesn't mean they're after you. Stop being so over dramatic."
"Over dramatic? You're calling me over dramatic?" She shouted back, pushing me backwards, almost knocking me to the floor. Despite her petite size, she was surprisingly strong. "If you knew who I was you sure as hell wouldn't be saying that you motherfucking son of a-"
She was cut off by the door creaking open and Jacob stepping in. "Guys? Is everything alright?" He sounded worried.
"Yea." Because answered sharply. "Matt was just leaving, right?" She glared at me. I glared back at her, saying nothing as I walked out on both of them. There was something going on with Becca, and I was determined to find out what.

Becca's POV
Matt stormed out, leaving Jacob and I alone. My body started falling off the adrenaline high. I immediately collapsed into the bed and stared up at the ceiling in defeat.
"What just happened there?" Jacob asked, sitting next to me on the bed.
I shook my head and shrugged. "Something that really regret." I mumbled under my breath.
"How bad?" He wondered in a calm voice, making my mind believe I could trust him.
I sighed and covered my face with my hands. "Pretty bad. I don't really want to talk about it."
Jacob shrugged and laid down next to me. "Alright."
The two of us laid there in silence for a while, as if we both knew what each other were thinking. The silence gave us both the ability to clear our heads and just focus on the here and now, not to think of what brought us together or what may or may not happen, just focusing on the peace and silence.
