Andy's POV

Pete immediately sent the address as soon as possible. I bolted out of the station before anyone could ask what was wrong. My mind was focused on one single thought, Becca. I had just talked to her. She sounded afraid when I asked her if she was okay. What if she was being threatened?

I heard the all too familiar wail of ambulance sirens, so I followed the sound to the nighhtclub Becca and Pete went to a few days ago. The ambulance was parked outside the nightclub with the sirens still wailing. I saw the paramedics carry a black body bag on a stretcher out into the ambulance.

In that moment, everything went numb, like I was dosed with novocaine. I collapsed to my knees, shaking and holding back the tears that began to prick my eyes. Not Becca, it couldn't be her. Anyone but her.

The whole world was becoming a slow motion blur. Time began to stand still as my world came crashing down. Becca was gone.

The world came back into focus and time unfroze as I felt someone grab my shoulder to get my attention.

"Hey!" They called out. I looked to my side to see a pair of electric blue eyes that were filled with shock look back at me. "Are you Andy?"

"What?" I've never seen this person before in my life. How did he know me?

"You're Andy Hurley, Becca's boyfriend, right?" He asked.

My attention immediately went all on him. "What about her?"

"I'm Joe, a close friend of hers." He introduced himself quickly. "You need to come with me, now."

Before I could ask him anything else, Joe grabbed my wrist and dragged me away from the ambulance and crowd beginning to form and into an alleyway close by. Joe ran up to the door at the end of the alley and pounded on it three times. A lock on the door clicked and it swung open. Pete stood in the entrance, the same terrified expression on his face. He quickly ushered us inside.

There was one other person in the room, pacing behind the large red plush couch in the center of the room. Meh was shaking and gripping his jet black hair as he was pacing, speaking rapid Spanish under his breath.

"What's going on?" I asked worriedly. "Where's Becca?"

The mystery guy began speaking to me in rapid panicked Spanish. Unfortunately I couldn't understand him.

"Pete, what's going on?" I turned to my friend.

Pete let out a sigh. "It would be better to show you, then we'll explain." He led me to the other side of the couch, and that's when the novocaine came back.

Becca was laid out on the couch, blood covering her hands and mouth and seeping down a nasty gash on the side of her forehead. Her flannel shirt was unbuttoned, revealing fresh bloody stitches on her abdomen. She wasn't moving at all.

"Becca!" I gasped, kneeling to her side. "What happened?"

"She was attacked." Joe explained. "We were all in here just talking when we all heard something outside. Becca volunteered to go check it out. The next thing we knew there was a gunshot and Becca screaming for help. When we got out there, she was fighting someone. None of us could get a good glimpse of whoever it was. Gabe fired off a warning shot at the attacker, hitting them in the ankle. Unfortunately they got away. We brought her back here and I managed to stitch her up before anything serious happened."

"Then who was in the body bag?" I asked. If it wasn't Becca, who else could it have been?

"It was my friend." Gabe spoke up. "Ryland Blackington, he worked with me for years. I don't know who could have done this."
