Amanda's POV

The next morning it was completely clear that I should have tried harder to sleep. School was back and I had to get up early. As soon as I woke up from my five hour sleep I felt as if I wanted to crawl under my bed and die.

"Stop moaning! Have you forgotten that we're all in the same mess. Believe me, I'm tired, but at least I'm not complaining. Gosh!", Christina told me and rolled her eyes. I didn't believe her words. That morning she had been able to do her make up, perfectly I might add, and straighten her hair. She couldn't possibly be as tired as I was.

As far as my own make up, I had barely tried. The only thing I had on my face was foundation, and that was because it only took a few minutes to aplie. My hair was loose and naturally straight. I wasn't even bothered with it. I barely ever did anything with my hair anyway.

"Don't even speak", I grumbled as we sat down at breakfast. She laughed at my bitterness together with another girl. Her name was Allison Flint and she had apparently known Christina since early age. They were best friends, but had happily accepted me in their little group.

"Poor Amanda!", Allison mocked jokingly. I answered with throwing a piece of bread at her. She easily dodged it and laughed at my attempt. She had told me the night before that she was on the Quidditch team and that she wanted to go pro after Hogwarts. I was therefor not surprised that she had dodged my throw.

"What's up with you?", asked Scorpius a few seats away from us. I raised an eyebrow at him without answering. He did not want to know. If I did not get my sleep I was dangerous. My friends from the normal world knew that and they would've avoided me as if I was poison if they had been there that morning.

"Our dear Amanda did not get her beauty sleep", Christina informed Scorpius and I saw a glimt lighten in his eyes. He opened his mouth to say something, but I stopped him before he could.

"Think carefully before you speak", I threatened. The smirk on his face slowly vanished and he gave me a cautious look. I only met it with serious eyes.

"Oh look! It's our time tables", Allison declared happily. I looked down at the table and saw that there indeed was a time table there. As I looked at it I saw that I thankfully didn't have to take something like Transfiguration. Mostly it looked like I would get out of doing magic.

My subjects were:

Muggle Studies, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, Ancient Runes, History of Magic and Astronomy.

I was a little bit worried about Potions. I knew that you sometimes would have to use your wand to make a potion. I did not have a wand. A few days before I had been to Diagon Alley and bought a few necessary things. Headmistress McGonagall had sent me a list of things I needed. A wand was of course not one of those things.

"Let me see!", said Christina and yanked my time table out of my hands. I had no time to protest as she read through the paper. A frown appeared on her face as she read.

"Why don't you have Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration?", she asked me and looked up from my time table. As she handed it back I still had no idea what to answer her.

"I've already finished those courses in America. I was ahead of the class and I don't have to do anything else", I lied at last. I prayed that they wouldn't ask me any questions on their homework. The lie had been the only thing in my mind that didn't sound completely crazy.

"Lucky you! I think I'll die by the end of this year", Allison cried out. I smiled happily at that.

"Who's the one whining now?", I asked victoriously. The answer I got was a death stare from Allison and a smirk from Christina.

Soon we got up and headed to our first classes. Mine was Muggle Studies, the subject I thought I would excel at. I mean, I was a muggle after all.

When I got to the classroom I quickly saw Roxy and Louis sitting there with some other Hufflepuffs. Roxy hadn't apologized yet about her comment the previous night and therefor I did not want sit with her. Instead I took the only other seat empty. It was next to a Hufflepuff guy. His skin was tan and he had brown styled hair. He was currently smiling at something the girl infront of him said. I could see his dark blue eyes and how they twinkled with amusement.

As I sat down in my seat the guy's attention immediately turned to me.

"Hello! My name's Peter. Peter Finnigan", he happily introduced himself. I smiled back at him and took the hand he held outstretched.

"I'm Amanda Fraser", I told him just before the classroom door opened. A nice looking woman came through the door. She was gently smiling at the class as she set down the books she held in her hands.

"Hello everyone. Most of you already know me, but I'm Susan Bones. I will be your Muggle Studies professor this year", the woman introduced herself. I was pretty sure that I would like her as a teacher.

"The first thing we will be studying this year is muggle literature. The first assignment you will get is to write a book review actually", the teacher started. I felt like sighing deeply. Even though I would have it easy in Muggle Studies I knew that the projects would bore me to death.

"I have the book that each one of you will be given. It is called 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green and has been very popular by teenagers. I will give you all a month to read the book and finish the report", Bones said. I sighed with relief in my head. Of course the teacher would chose a book that I've actually read. That meant that I would not have to actually read the book, I only had to write the review. Fantastic!

Third person's POV

The plan had maybe failed, but at the same he knew that they were at least a bit successful. He knew that they all were aware of what had happened to the girl. They were aware to why it had happened.

A sickly pale smile spread across his lips. He couldn't see anything in the darkness, but he didn't have to. If there had been any light in the small cell he knew that he wouldn't have enjoyed the sight. The darkness was sort of a relief.

The smile grew into a maniac's laugh. It rang through the darkness, echoed beyond the cell. Some of the other prisoners heard it, but didn't know what to make of it. The laughter sounded rough and broken. It was as if the man was a broken record.

Then there was only silence, quickly followed by a scream. The other prisoners almost felt calmer when they heard the loud painful sound. It was what they were all used to. It was the sound of what the place represented.

Then the silence returned. Everything kept silent, until the next morning. Then another scream rang through the prison. The only ones hearing the awful sounds were the prisoners, and of course the dementors.
