I arrive to the car shortly after my phone call with HQ as I see Eli playing with the radio inside. I open the driver door and get inside the warm car and I slam the door closed behind me. "Eli." I say as I gather his attention. "Yeah?" "Never use my name near the vampires, if one gets away and knows my name it's practically my death. They will target me." I say as I hear his heart pick up its pace.

"Why did they send you to the field if you hardly know the rules?" I ask him as I buckle up and change the station to a more pop station as I pull back onto the room. "Will you teach me?" He asks softly. "Eli I don't take on personal students. You know this. I don't have time to watch and teach you." I say as I watch the road in front of me.

"I know but it couldn't hurt to ask." "Are you hungry? I saw a diner a few blocks from our hotel. Personally I'm starving." I ask him as he nods his head in agreement. We arrive to the little diner and I take in our dark clothing and I just shrug as I readjust my gun and hide it better. I see Eli putting his gun under the seat after he takes out the bullets and hands them to me. I put them in my bag and strap it on my back as I leave the car and lock it behind me as Eli and I enter the diner.

I feel eyes on me and I just pull Eli to a booth off to the side and sit down so I can watch the room. I notice the dust collecting on the wooden chair and tables. I see a couple lights are out and flickering not to mention the wood paneling coming down. I see a young blonde waitress walk over to us with her mouth in a thin line. "We don't want trouble." She says in a whisper. "We won't cause any." I respond sharply. "What do you want to drink?" "Water." I say as I look to Eli. "Same." He nods his head towards her as she walks away.

"Was it very smart to come to a diner in all black?" Eli asks. "Something is off about this place." I whisper as he looks around and I tisk. "Don't do that." I scold him. "Sorry." He says lowering his head as I eye the customers around the room. I hear whispers coming from the men in the booth something about a blood bank. "Crap." I shake my head. "What?" He asks. "Just shut up for a while. Trying to figure something out." I rush out as I see the waitress walk back with nothing on her tray. "Eli you need to go to the car." I say as he looks at me in shock.

"Like now." I spit at him as he quickly stands up, I hand him the keys and he runs out the back door. The waitress smirks at me with extended fangs as a bunch of them get up. "Hello Hunter." She hisses out as I pull out my gun and raise it towards the vampires standing up. "What do you want?" I ask as I look at the group of vampires. "Dinner." The blonde whispers as her now red eyes narrow in my direction.

"I'm not paying tonight." I almost laugh out. "We already have your friend. This building is surrounded." Another one with blue eyes and fangs comes out from behind her. "Your eyes?" I question him as he widens his eyes. "Oh what a treat." He responds as he runs his fingers through his short black hair. "What?" I ask as I raise my gun a little. "You don't know anything about us do you?" He asks cocking his head to the side. I look at him and smirk as I aim my gun without looking and send a bullet straight into the blonde's heart as I watch her fall quickly out of the side of my eye.

"Next." I smirk wider. "Alright time to end this." He says narrowing his blue eyes at me before I feel a bunch of people jump on me. I'm quickly pinned down while my gun is pried out of my hands. I attempt to over toss the men on top of me but they only press me down harder causing me to groan in pain. Blue eyes walks over to me and squats in front me as he looks into my eyes trying to gain information from me. I allow him to see me killing his kind before I close him out of my mind and he yells in frustration. "What are you?" He asks as he study's me. "Human." I spit out.

He pulls out a knife and grabs one of my wrists as I hear my skin being ripped into two and I yell at him to stop. He places my bloody wrist to his mouth and I watch his eyes widen in astonishment and confusion. He pulls away from me and shows me my now healed wrist and smiles. "You are something different." He says as he continues to study me. "What is your name?" "Not telling." I say as I feel his shoe being pressed into my stomach and I ignore the pain. "What is your name?!" He repeats with force this time.

I look up at him and ignore the pain lingering in my stomach as he nods his head at one of the vampires watching the door. I see Eli brought in kicking and screaming the whole time and I flinch at the blood running down his neck. "What is this young hunter's name?" Blue eyes asks Eli. "Her name is Estrella." Eli whispers out as I yell cuss words in his direction. "You know I've only heard that name once. And that one time was when my leader wanted to find his long lost daughter. I think we just found you." He smirks before he kills Eli by snapping his neck in two and I scream.
