More Blood? (18)

I fall asleep in his arms as he speeds through the forest. I feel the air cool and whispers around me as I stir in his arms. "Sh, I'm almost to your room." He whispers as I nod my head lightly. Soon enough I feel him lay me on my soft bed as he pulls the covers up over me. "Goodnight Estrella." He says as he turns off the lights and I hear the door close. I remember closing my eyes after that as I fall into slumber.

I wake up feeling refreshed as the sun peaks through the blinds, I stretch my limbs as I walk over to the closet. I open the doors to notice it's fully stocked with clothes. "What the?" I ask myself as I check the tags hanging off the many dresses and workout clothing. I pull down some workout clothes as I change out of last nights torn dress. I notice my scratches are still healing and I begin to worry about it. I would be healed by now, but I'm not for some reason?

I slip on my new clothes discarding my old ones leaving them on the floor as I walk to my bathroom to fix my hair. I pull it up into a high bun as I clean off old makeup left my face from last night. I finish up as I open the door leading towards the hallway. I notice a man standing by my door and I give him a confused look. "And who are you?" I ask sharply. "Your bodyguard, Princess." He says as I growl. "And who assigned you?" I ask as he smirks at me. "It's not in my job description to tell you that." "I don't need you to watch me." I say crossing my arms.

"Do you wish for me to remind you of last nights failure on your part?" He asks as I groan. "Stupid Sterling." I mutter under my breath. "No my dear you were stupid to think you could escape." He adds on. I storm past him and down to the kitchen barefooted of course. "Where's the bloody food!" I yell as I look through the cabinets until I finally find normal human cereal. I see how high it's set up and I jump trying to grab it as I fail repeatedly. I see my bodyguard smiling in the background and I turn around to face him. "Help me." I beg as he sighs and walks over pulling down my cereal. I fill a bowl and find the milk as I pour it in. I eat quickly before I try to set the cereal back up in the shelf.

"You hurt yourself." Sterling states as he enters the kitchen dressed in normal workout clothes with sweat coming down his face. "What?" I ask as his eyes narrow in on my scrapes. "When did that happen?" He asks. "When I killed those rouges." I say as I jump back up. All of a sudden I feel him grab my hand and pull me away from the cabinets. He rummages through the fridge until he finds a blood bag and holds it with his other hand as he speeds up in another location.

We arrive at a makeshift hospital as he sets me down on a hospital bed. "Be right back." He say walking out the front door blood bag in hand. "Hello Mrs. Estrella, I've heard you've hurt yourself. May I see? I'm Alistar." A man says walking in. I notice his young appearance, around 5'11 he's on the shorter side, with a face that looks around 30 with dull green eyes. "You're human." I say as he smiles at me. "Yes I am." He responds. "Why are you here then?" I ask.

"It pays well, and it's something I like to do." He says as he walks closer to me. "But vampires heal quickly." I tell him. "Not in all cases, for yours, and sometimes silver gets injected into the body. Weakness of your species. As well as wood." He says as I give him a confused look. "Silver? Are you meaning wolves?" I ask as he laughs. "Weakness to both." "No way. I've been hunting wrong all my life." I say shocked. "As much as I love a good talk, I need to see your injury. I nod my head as I lift up my shorts and he gently runs his fingers over the wounded skin. "When was the last time you drank blood?"

"I-" "She hasn't since two days ago or more, not too sure." Sterling walks in with a cup of dark red liquid inside. "Is she just awakening this side?" The doctor asks him. "Yeah she is Alistar." "Okay easy solve, she needs to drink. She doesn't have enough blood cells to heal that wound. I suggest she feeds until she has enough, a blood high will work. She'll need to feed live Prince." Alistar says as I feel my heart pick up. Sterling's eyes flicker towards mine as he hears my heart increase.

"That won't do anything, she needs warm, fresh blood, from a host." "And if she's not ready for that?" Sterling's flicker from mine to his. "Then prepare her, or she'll injure herself more. Not sure if she'll die, she's still human. Prince she's basically a newborn vampire, now that she lives with you she's becoming more vampire like. Before she moved her I assume she was a gifted human but now she's awakening the need for blood as well as human food. Again I just assume, I've never met a half before." He says amused as he looks at me.

"Thank you Alistar. We'll be on our way. I'll take her to the grounds." Sterling says as I get off of the bed. "Sounds good. Nice meeting you Estrella." Alistar says before he walks out of the room leaving Sterling and I alone. "Well I guess I should teach you how to feed. Wish it was nighttime. Time to be irritated as hell with that stupid sun." "What's a blood high?" I ask as he smirks.

"You'll find out. Lets just say you'll be pretty much drunk off of blood." He says laughing as my eyes go wide. "And if don't want to?" I ask softly. "Not much of a choice, I'll force feed you if I must. Now let's go we have fresh blood walking. I can't allow you to die, I've taken this in the wrong light. Instead of limiting your blood I should've given you gallons."
