"Sterlingggg." I purr out as he curses under his breath. "Yes?" He asks slowly. "Why won't you kiss mee?" I slur out. "Because you are high. You are high off your ass, I will not do anything besides getting you home." "Buttttt?" I ask. "Are you healing?" He asks looking at my covered thigh.

"You're healing. We're going home." He says sharply causing me to whine in sadness. He grabs my hand and I smile at him as he shakes his head. "What about them?" I ask looking down at the sleeping humans. "This club is a vampire club, someone else will take care of it." He says pulling me out of the room, past the dance floor and out into the afternoon sun. I notice his skin beginning to turn red and I lift my other hand and rub it on his skin. "You're hurting." I state.

"I'm fine. This is nothing compared what I've been in." He says as I detect that he's hiding something but my mind can't function to ask. We arrive back in silence as I gain my thoughts and my mindset as the high wears off. "I'm sorry about that." I whisper as he lightly laughs. "I was expecting much worse honestly. Vampires don't get high off of alcohol, we get high off of blood. I assume you can experience both, we'll test that another day." He says smiling lightly at me.

"Next time I want to explore the town." I say softly as he just watches me. "Now that's up to your father. I was allowed to take you to the club to feed but past that is not my decision." He says as he pulls me inside the castle as my stomach growls. "Really we just fed you?" He states as he then pulls me into the kitchen. "I think my human side wants food." I laugh as he smiles. "Well considering your stomach is talking I would assume so." He laughs as he pulls down some food and I sit on the kitchen counter.

I barely hear anyone enter until I hear his voice. "I'll need to borrow my daughter after she eats." Father says as he leans up on the wall. I notice him dressed causally wearing a white v-neck and some jeans as I notice the boots under his jeans. "I had nothing planned." Sterling says as he cuts up some tomatoes for a sandwich. "So Estrella, how are you enjoying the castle?" "I have yet to see it Dad." I say testing the name on my lips as I notice a wide smile on his face. "Would you want to go for a walk around it?" He asks as I nod my head. Sterling walks over setting a sandwich that looks like it's gourmet and a glass of water next to it.

I take a bite out of it as my tastebuds welcome the ingredients. "When did you learn to cook?" I ask as they both laugh. "We were all human once." Dracula says. "I wasn't turned until my twenties, I couldn't survive on nothing." "But vampires are new." I say as they both nod there heads. I finish up my sandwich and my water as I walk out of the kitchen and my father leads the way to the front door.

"How is your stay? I assume you've realized we are not all that bad compared to the ones you've hunted." He asks as we walk around the huge castle. "It's fine. I'm just waiting until the beast breaks free." I say as I look at the tall stone and wide windows above me. I see balconies on some of the rooms and clothes drying on the railings. "S-" "How many people live here?" "Mostly maids and good friends of mine. Vampire tend to be solitary people." He says as I nod my head.

I take in the green land with pretty landscaped trees and a stable off in the distance. "I've been meaning to tell you of some rules." He says as I stop walking. "Sorry to startle you, I can't give you freedom as you wish." He says as I sigh. "Go ahead." I tell him. "I can't have you anywhere without your body guard. I also do want you to meet my friends. You can't run away or I'll punish you. I'll allow you to train as much as you please. If it's needed I'll round up some rouges for you to hunt if I must. You are not allowed in the town without Sterling. Please be nice to Cyprian."

"Cyprian doesn't deserve my mercy." I say smiling "I don't ask for much, but I want the safety of my daughter on high alert. I can't lose you again." He tells me with longing set in his eyes. "Oh if there are any talents you wish to do or hobbies please tell me and I'll get you what you need. I don't want you to be bored here, anything you want I will give." "I want bows and arrows, it was what my fosters dad taught me. I'm not very good but I enjoy it. I don't have talents or hobbies besides killing, and training that is." I say as he looks at me with sadness.

"They trained you too hard. You never had a childhood did you? I assume they wanted you as the poster kid for the Hunters? When did you start hunting?" He asks as I recall the dates of normal Hunter dates then my dates. "I went on my first hunt when I was 11, normal Hunters don't go into the field until 14. My first mission I almost died, I went against a Master. They never taught me ranks, I only knew the target but I could feel the power radiating off of him." I say as he watches me.

"He must have felt my presence as well because I was pinned against the metal walls of the barn as he yelled in my face asking who and what I was. I could see the fright of the Hunters around me, knowing my secret that I just figured out. I assume they were worried I would know of what I was but my little self didn't put the picture together." I says as he sighs loudly.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I was never there to save you, I'm sorry it's hard for you to see me as a father. I tried to find you I really did but I could never find you. They hid you from me, we left too many blood trails and my men were hunted to the ground. I was never in your life, I never got to raise you. I never knew your favorite color, or anything like that. I'm sorry." He says as stray tears stream down my face. "We'll figure this out. We'll figure out our relationship. I'm willing to- I'm willing to try and make this work." I stutter out.
