I walk out of his office as I clutch the file in my grasp as I head back to my room. I pass the portraits on the wall of the old leaders we had before they died or well got murdered. Either way this lifestyle can't fit all, you're either born for it or you adapt. I walk inside my room and close the door behind me as I walk over to my closet and pull out one of our typical battle garb clothing. I pull down the fitted tank top and shorts as I toss them on the bed. I walk to my bathroom inside my room and I walk to the mirror and I groan at my appearance

I notice I have black bags under my eyes and my eyeliner is smeared under my eyes, why didn't anyone say anything? I take off my makeup and reapply my eyeliner as I put some mascara on. I notice my usually pale tint is even lighter than before. I'm pretty pale but I'm not this pale, I need food that's what's up. I redo my hair into a side braid as I walk back out to my room.

I put on my workout clothes grabbing my iPod and headphones setting them onto my messy bed. I see my blue tennis shoes in the corner and I walk over and grab them as well as my socks. I walk out of my room with my iPod in hand and skip down the stairs and towards the kitchen.

I see my friend Kelsi cooking up some food as I smell the air. "More chicken?" I ask her causing her to jump by the stove as I smirk at her. "Estrella stop scaring me all the time. How was your mission?" She asks me facing my direction. "Eli is changed. Other than that issue everything was fine." I say as she narrows her eyes.

"There's more than that." She states. "No there wasn't." I defend myself trying to keep that diner a secret. "You don't just say fine. You more of the lines say it was sick, so much blood, or add 50 to my kill count. I know you Estrella." She says as I sigh.

"I'll tell you later, now are you going to be a good friend and share or let me starve?" I ask as I lean on the counter. "This is mine, we had spaghetti last night so go get that." She says pointing towards the fridge. "I always miss spaghetti night, you plan that don't you?" I ask narrowing my eyes as she nods and laughs.

"You eat half the noodles and everyone is left with crumbs, that's why we give you leftovers." She says holding back a laugh. "I'll pass for today, I need a quick snack, I'm gonna go run." I say as she ticks at me. "You have to take care of yourself, dear." She says as groan at her. "When was the last time you had a drink?" I ask her as she looks at me in question.

"Hmm when I was 24. Why?" She asks. "Because I need a drink and I'm underage, and your not sooo." I ask pulling out your older card. "Hell no. Just because I'm 27 doesn't mean I'll buy you anything." I groan at her before I pull an apple out of the bowl and bite into it. "Bye Kelsi." I say as I walk out of the kitchen apple in hand. "Tell me later Ella." She calls out as I leave out the front door and set my apple core on the porch as I set up my headphones.

I feel my heartbeat picking up as I look at the woods and the trail leading through it. I start at a normal pace as I warm up my muscles before I kick it up a notch. As soon as I do that I feel my adrenaline kick in until I'm running at full speed letting the trees blur by me until I see the workout gym in front of me. See when this was built they put the gym super far away so one would have to run miles to get there. I remember the day all of us had set out on the path to head towards it exhausted by the time we finally arrived.

I walk inside the gym to see a few teenagers working out and I watch there eyes go wide as I enter. As the top Hunter I guess you could say I do intimate a few people, and then there's the whole Estrella fan base group. The ones who train super hard to become better than me, as they train to beat my records. As if. I pull down my headphones and hook my phone up to the speaker system. "Hope everyone's cool with dubstep. Because if you don't like it, get out." I yell as I see everyone nod their heads at me.

"You don't run this gym." A oh so familiar voice calls from the balcony. "Hello to you too Ryder." I call from below. "Oh shut up and get out with this crappy music." He says once more causing my rage to flare up slightly. "Ryder, now let's be an adult about this, go to the other room if you don't want to listen to my music." I say as I press play on the iPod causing it to blare through the speakers as I smirk at him. He narrows his eyes before I see him jump from the balcony and down to the floor on the padded area.

He walks towards me as I watch him with my head turned to the side before he starts to circle me and I laugh. "What are you doing?" I ask as I notice people backing up from the two of us. "Let's fight. Winner picks the music for a week." He says as he stops. "Better get used to dubstep." I say as that earns a growl from him. He throws the first jab as it comes close to me before I grab his wrist and throw a punch to his stomach causing him to hiss. I flip him over onto his back as pin him down before he throws me under him as he sends a punch to my side.

I yell before I use my legs and kick him off of me as he rolls on the ground besides me. I get up before I pin him down once more using my weight to keep him down as I hold his wrist in a death grip. "You win." He says through a staggered breath as I let him go.

"Good. Now dubstep party for a week!" I yell causing him to growl as he gets up. He grabs my wrist and pulls me away from the main room and into a spare room as I try to break away each time. "Let me go!" I scream at him. "No." He says as he pushes me into an empty room as he walks in and closes the door behind him. "What!" I yell at him.

"You can't be fully human." He whispers causing my heartbeat to quicken.
