"Thanks, I guess." I say as he stands up and walks over to give me a hug and I flinch back a little. He wraps his arms around my shoulders and pulls me in close as I hesitantly respond by hugging him back lightly. I need to win his trust so I can escape, or I could just do it tonight. Yes at the party I'll get out and run to who knows where but I'll figure that out later I suppose. "You must be starving." He says pulling away from the hug and walking towards the seat across from him as he pulls it out for me.

I walk over and sit down as he pushes me in and sits across from me as he looks towards one of the slaves. I watch as he hurries off in another location leaving me completely alone with my father. "So how are you liking your new home?" Father asks casually causing me to look twice at him and raise my eyebrows. "I want to go home. Back to the Hunters." I tell him as he ticks his tongue at my response.

"Now dear you can't go back there, they want you dead. They see you as a trader to their kind due to the fact that you are with the vampires now. You have no home to go to besides here. Now do you have any questions?" "Yes, how did vampires spread so quickly?" "Well I turned a ton of people causing them to run rouge and bite others, like a virus if you will. Hunters are pretty new, you've had so many leaders because we kill each one. It's not like they died from 'Natural Causes'." Dracula laughs.

"So everything is new? Is that right? I assumed everything has been established for years." I say lightly. I notice the maid come back as he sets plates of bloody red steaks in front of both of us and I just look down at my food. "Well it took me a long time to turn, a few centuries. During that time I fed others my blood and they turned without deaths. I bit Niles Knight, who had a son during the time, he was my best friend and the second one bit giving him the title of vampire royalty.

"Eventually he was turned, and Cyprian was four at the time so it took a few years. Much less than my own turning, but eventually it spread and more and more were turned with less time, causing it to spread rapidly." He says with a breath at the end. I slowly cut into my steak as I eat a small piece and enjoy the warm food in my stomach. "I want to start training you tomorrow." He says causing me to look up from my food at him. "What kind of training? As you are aware of I can kill vampires." I state as he laughs.

"I'm well aware of what you can do in the dungeons, I know you can handle your own. I want to train you on the Royal side of things. How to run a species." He says as I stare at him in pure shock. "I'm not running vampires." I say narrowing my eyes as he narrows them back at me. "You don't exactly have a choice or a say in the matter." His eyes ablaze as he spits out those words.

"Maybe I should teach you some respect while I'm at it." Dracula mutters under his breath. "Really? Really Father?" I spit out. "Ah yes forgot about your abilities. Oh I need to make a note to have some training on that as well, you could make it much sharper to hear the footsteps headed our way." He says as I perk my ears and hear a knock on the doors.

"Come in." He says as I see Eli enter and I gasp as his red eyes meet mine. "My King, I hate to bother you but werewolf's have entered our lands. Good to see you, Princess Estrella." He says exiting the room leaving me shell shocked.

"Ah you know Eli? Such a good guard I tell you." Dracula says lacing a meaning through the woods. "Hmm is he? Cause he's a horrible Hunter. Maybe you should do background checks." I smile as I push the chair back standing up. "Maybe I already have." Dracula says smiling even wider. "Doesn't hurt to check two times." I say walking out the door with a swing in my hips.

"Are you going to that party tonight?" He asks. "Yes." I say turning around in the hallway. "You are not allowed to." "Who are you to tell me what I can and can't do?!" I snap back. "Your Father." "And where were you my whole life? As far as I'm concerned you can't exactly tell me what to do. I never really had a parent." I say as I continue to walk away.
