Meeting a Witch (34)

"Is it true that she's dating Prince Sterling?" She asks casually. "Yeah they are." "They're cute together, I'm glad he's found someone." She says quietly. "You know technically were dating." Tayo says laughing. "Tayo dear, you are a vampire and I am a witch. Society will never accept us. You know this just as well as I do." She sighs. "Yes I know and when I get onto Estrella's council I'll ask her to pass a law for cross species relationships." He says excited as I realize that's what he wants from my council.

"As if!" Annabelle laughs. "You know how they feel about halfs, imagine a cross kid." She adds on. "Annabelle." "Yes?" She responds. "I'm dead. Meaning I can't bring you kids, but we can always adopt." "Oh you are dead. I'm sorry I forgot." She says laughing. I tune out of their conversation as I get up and ready for the day. I look down at the stairs and I sigh because I know that I can't get down quickly. I begin my journey down as I sigh and before I know it I feel someone's arms on me and then a soft surface below me.

I come to my senses as I see a girl shorter than me with platinum blonde hair and thick black makeup making her sea like eyes pop out. She leans close to me as she sits on the table, with her head slightly turned as if she's analyzing me. She wears black skinny jeans and a cute white top with little studded boots on her feet. Aviators rest upon her head and she continues to stare at me. "Estrella this is Annabelle. Annabelle this is Estrella." Tayo says as Annabelle flips her head over to his. "No shit." She says as she laughs before her attention comes back on me.

"Nice to meet you." I say extended my hand as I sit on the couch in front of her. "As to you, Princess." She says lowering her head. "No titles here please." I tell her as she nods her head. "What can I do for you?" She asks. "What's the price?" I ask as she furrows her eyes in confusion. "Price? Is there a price?" She asks looking from Tayo to me. "I figured you would want something." I say as she laughs. "All I want is a friendship with you. I think it's about time for the witches and the vampire to ally. That is when you become queen." She says smiling. "If I become queen." I say as she smiles once more showing how perfect she really is.

"Oh honey we all know you will. I can't predict precise futures but I can sense when something feels right, and I just have a feeling you'll take the thrown." "We'll see." I tell her. "She needs to be healed and I'm not sure if you can do it but she also needs to know her DNA if you can determine that." Tayo says as Annabelle nods her head. "Do you want to know or does she want to know, Tayo?" "Only Estrella is supposed to know. If I were to know I'd be sent to the pits." Tayo says huffing. "Oh the pits, yea I think it's best if you are unaware." Annabelle smiles.

"I'll heal you. Then you can walk again and you'll be fine and yeah. I can't promise all scars will disappear." She says getting off the table as I stand. "No you sit." She adds on as I sit back down. "Scars are fine. It just a battle scar of some sorts." I say smiling. "Tayo get out." Annabelle says as she looks up to Tayo and he groans as he disappears. "He's a mess. Ok so this may hurt a little bit, and for that I'm sorry. It'll be a pins and needle feeling or something along those lines."

"It's fine. Hey Annabelle what's the pits?" I ask as she watches me. "Call me Belle. The pits is like an intense vampire prison. Only the worst of rouges go there." Bella says as she lays me down on the couch. "Why would Sterling threaten that?" I ask as Bella laughs. "Because clearly he's so in love with you he would do anything to protect you. Even if that means throwing his best friend for a few days in prison." She says beaming as she stretches out her arms.

"I'm sorry in advance." She says as I nod my head for her to continue. I hear her chant as my body begins to heat up. I feel the pins and they are sharper than she mentioned. I begin to thrash under her as her chanting increases. "Estrella I'm almost done. Don't give in yet." She says as my body begins to cool down and my body feels light. "Ok that's it I'm done with that part." "That part?" I ask hoarse.

"I need your blood. That's if you want to know exactly what vampire abilities you may have. Don't count me on it, you are a first." Bella says as she pulls out a knife. I extend my wrist as she runs the smooth blade against my pulse and I hiss at the slight pain. She quickly wraps it up and slides the bloody knife into her mouth. "Gross." I whisper as she looks down at me and laughs. Bella freezes for a second before she looks down at me with awe and curiosity in her eyes. "So?" I ask.

"First off your blood is like super strong, second I don't know whether you'll stay like this or not. But other than that you don't age anymore, you seem more vampire than human or at least those traits are coming out now. Your body accepts both but your human side is becoming weaker compared to the vampire genes you have. I know that you will be super powerful, you are stronger than anything I've encountered before. Don't be surprised if you start to hear better, or run faster or anything its completely normal." She says beaming.

"Good to know. Thank you. So you don't know if I'll stay human or not?" I ask. "Well as it seems now the vampire side is taking control but your human side will never quite fall. You'll always have that part to you, unless you choose to be turned but I wouldn't if I were you. You are one of a kind and there will never be anything like you.

On the downside I do sense something wicked on your blood. Not saying your evil but it's a possibility. I'm not sure if that's your fathers or him himself." She says with fear laced in her eyes. "Him?" I ask. "The ruler of the underworld himself, how do you think you all are vampires? I'm not sure what your dad offered him but clearly he knew it would pay off for him because he turned your father. I don't know if it's his essence in you or if it's your fathers. But something is there Estrella. You may never welcome it but I'm just telling you so you do know of it." Bella says as I go still.
