I stretch out my limbs as I feel the soft comfortable underneath me as I yawn and open my eyes. I freeze as I realize that I'm not longer in my old Hunter house, where am I? I snap out of the bed and hesitantly look around the dark red room. I notice gold furniture and a huge canopy bed. I notice my shoes are placed by the bed and Leon enters my mind instantly. I look for an exit, I see curtains covering a wide window as I notice the height won't hurt me. I push on the window realizing it's very much locked. I scan my eyes for something to throw into the glass but I spot nothing but my shoes.
I groan and put on my shoes, I then walk towards the dark oak door and open it welcoming me to a carpeted hallway with many paintings covering the wall. I slip out as I perk my ears and hear nothing near me, I can get out. I run down the hallway towards the right as quietly as I can, I find some grand stairways and I quickly run down as I'm greeted to a huge ballroom. I see two brass doors which must be leading towards the exit. I run before I feel myself stopped with thick arms. "Let me go!" I yell at my capturer.
"Did you really think you could escape with a household of vampires?" Sterling asks me as he lightly grabs my wrists. I notice his hair is sticking up in a million ways and his eyes look tired. I burst out laughing at his appearance causing him to look at me in question. "What's so funny?" He asks looking around the ballroom. "Your hair." I smile as he only shakes his head and pulls my wrist to another room.
"Hungry?" He asks as he sits me down on the kitchen chair. I notice the sleek black countertops and the white cabinets. "What do you have?" I ask as he laughs at me. "Uhm blood what else?" He asks smirking at me. "I'm human." I say raising my hand. "Oh shit, you are. Sorry, uh I'll tell the cooks to get you some human food." He says awkwardly. "I've never had blood, I'd rather not start now." I state as he turns around and gives me a shocked look.
"K you're getting blood, you are part vampire after all." He says pulling down a glass and I thick red bag. I see him pour it out as he hands me the glass and I scrunch up my face. "Smell it first, maybe it'll draw out your other side." He says as I smell it and my mouth begins to water. "I-" I start before I finish. "Let me help." He says walking towards me as he lifts up the cup to my lips and pours some into my mouth. I grab the cup tighter as I close my eyes and enjoy the savory taste on my tongue. I open my eyes as I sip up the last bit of the blood.
"Who's human now?" He asks smirking at me as he leans on the counters. "Can I have more?" I ask quietly. "No." He says causing me to get mad. "And why not?" I asks crossing my arms. "You're pretty much a newborn, an 18 year old newborn but if I give you too much blood you'll have an addiction and you'll kill people. You don't even have fangs." He says smiling at the last part.
"I never asked to be like this." I state as I push back the chair and walk out of the kitchen and past the ballroom. "Where are you going?" He asks as I hear him stepping behind him. "I don't know!" I yell back. "How about we bring you back to your room?" He asks as I shake my head. "No. I need to fight something or kill one of you, are you willing to die today Prince?" I say turning around narrowing my eyes.
"Like you could kill me Fangless." He says with a smirk plastered on his face as I scream at him. "You'll wake the whole house if you keep that up." He says as he leans up on the wall watching me try to regain control. "Where's my so called father?" I ask as he watches me closely. "Are you finally starting to care?" He says as his facial features soften.
"How much trouble would I get for killing my dad?" I ask before I'm pinned down to the ground. "If you do that, I won't hesitate to make your life hell. Wether you're a Princess or not I'll throw you into the dungeons to rot out eternity." He spits out. "Do you have any rouge vampires? Like in the dungeons?" "We do, but I'm not giving you a stake, because I'll be pinned on the wall with one in my heart. You may be an ex Hunter but that doesn't mean you can kill anything that sucks blood." He says as he watches me below him.
"And you do realize if I don't kill something I'll go on a rampage and kill anything that talks to me." I smirk back. He cocks his head to the side as I listen to a distant male voice and footsteps. "Your father is here." He says as he watches my face pale completely. "No. Take me home." I beg.
"This is your home, and you'll have to meet him one way or another darling." He kisses my forehead as he leans near my ear. "Where did the tough Hunter go?" He whispers before he gets off and grabs my hand pulling me up next to him. "You want a tough Hunter? Give me a wooden stake and we'll see who's on the ground." I say causing my pride to swell up.
