Meeting my Father (13)

We walk in a hurried pace as he drags me down long hallways and past meeting rooms until we arrive at a golden doors. I hear him knock as I hear a come in on the other side of the door as he pushes open the door and I'm met with Dracula sitting upon a golden throne watching me closely. I see him stand up slowly as he takes me in. "And you found her Sterling?" He says his eyes never leaving me. "Yes." He says besides me as he squeezes my hand for encouragement. I notice his dark gothic suit and his silver eyes that look into my eyes.

"Thank you." Dracula says glancing towards Sterling. "You have her hair." He says smiling towards himself. "But you have my eyes." He states as he walks down his marble steps and towards me. "Who?" I ask. "Your mother." He responds with a ghost of a smile lining his face. "Why am I here?" I ask. "You are my daughter, you are my heir, you're the only memory I have left of your mother. It's been so long Estrella, I've missed you." He says in a whisper as he walks closer to me. "Let's get on to the point, why am I really here?" I ask sharply.

"Sterling, was she this feisty with you as well?" Dracula asks looking towards Sterling. "Haha even worse, in all honesty." He says laughing. "I guess you may be more like me than we realize. What are you exactly? Your heart beats but almost to a deaths pace." He says cocking his head sideways. "She's both, part human, and part vampire." Sterling answers for me. "Come here daughter." Dracula says as I step back letting go of Sterling's hand.

"What's the point?" I ask. I feel Dracula grab my face with his hands as he stares into my eyes. "Let go of me!" I scream out. I feel my mind go dizzy as he scans through my memories. I feel my body beginning to grow weak as I feel my heart beat slower and slower. "What are you doing? You'll kill her!" Sterling yells from a distance sounding muffled towards my ears. "Boy. I know what I'm doing. What yourself." Dracula hisses towards him. I feel memories flow into my mind with ease as I look into my fathers green eyes and he smiles before he pulls me into a hug.

I leave my arms dangling by my torso as he pulls away with a frown. "You'll see I do not mean harm towards my own daughter. You have much to learn Estrella. I have given you memories of your mother, something to take comfort in if you need them. She never met you, she wasn't able to." He adds on. "Why the hell am I like this? Don't touch me." I scream out.

"As you know I was the first, I made a deal with the devil. I wanted power. It took me centuries to finally become immortal, before then I had met your mother Elizabeth. At the time I was more human then I was vampire and I impregnated her with you. By the time she started showing I fed her my blood to give you a fighting chance.

"You were weak, you weren't going to make it otherwise. You took my blood and part of your mothers, after all being in a human host as part vampire, it was expected. You were killing your mother, on accident. Eventually you were born and your mother died during your birth. You came out as a happy healthy human baby, but I guess I should've realized there was more to you than just that. You never meant to kill your mother, it was just in your nature to feed. I predict in a few centuries you'll turn completely, or you'll remain the same." He says causing me to narrow my eyes. "I would rather die than become a full vampire, half is already pushing it." I spit with venom.

"You are the only daughter I can and will ever have, vampires can't procreate, we are dead after all. Don't hate me for taking back what is rightfully mine, wether you're a Hunter or not. We will see what happens but you can't help what your DNA will do. Do not think we are all bad, go get some sleep." Dracula says sadly watching me closely. "I'm not tired, I want to kill something." I say honestly. "Then go kill something." Dracula says giving Sterling a glance. "What should she kill?" Sterling asks. "Take her to the rouges, give her a stake and lock her inside. I'm pretty sure she can handle vampires." Dracula says smiling at me showing his fangs.

"And if she can't?" Sterling asks causing Dracula to boil over. "Then you jump inside and save her yourself. We have much to catch up on, Estrella. Tonight you shall have dinner with me. A daddy daughter dinner, is that what they call it these days?" He asks beaming in excitement. "I would rather be dead than dine with you. I don't even drink blood." I say narrowing my eyes. "Have you even tried it? You will respect me." Dracula says narrowing his green eyes towards me. "She has, finished it in five seconds." Sterling says with a smile. "Good to know. Take her to kill." Dracula says as Sterling nods. "Estrella stay for a minute please." He says causing me to freeze completely.

I hear the door close as Sterling leaves, as I watch my fathers every move. "As much as I hate to say this, this is your new home. Hunters want your head. I lost you 18 years ago, I will not lose you again. You will want to kill everyone of us and if you do you will be punished. We do not want to cause you a threat here. You have my blood signaling that if you are messed with that messes with me as well. I'm glad this was easier than I expected. I do expect a rampage, I know it's coming. If you are exactly like me which seems as you are, you'll snap eventually." Dracula says with pride laced through his voice. "You may call me father, if you please." He adds on as I leave the room.
