I remain on my bed in the dark for a while until I see the lights begin to turn on. "I brought you some food. You're welcome to walk whenever you please." The women from earlier says. "Are you a vampire?" I ask. "No I am not, nor would I ever want to be." "I see." "Oh my god no princess, I didn't mean to offend you. I'm sorry." She says in a whisper. "No it's fine, I can't help my genes. I just wish I wasn't the only half." I say in a hushed voice.

"You will forever be the only half. I hope you are aware of that. No one else can procreate with a human, your father was transitioning then. He was a half like you before he turned after creating you." She says like it's common news. "I killed my mother." I tell her. "None of us knew of what would happen. You were a first and you are alive and that means something to your kind. Don't feel bad that you didn't know any better. You were just feeding like any other normal vampire would do to a human host." She tells me sweetly.

"My dad hates me, I killed his wife not to mention I'm not even full." I say in a whisper. "If it helps you are his pride and joy, he's honered to even have a child. Yes your mother is dead but he got you out of it. If anything happened to you, he would burn the earth to find you. He may have lost Elizabeth but he has a daughter with her hair and his eyes. He loves you. He killed thousands to have you back and now that he does, all he wants to do is keep you safe." She says as she takes her leave.

I turn around and lift myself out of the bed resting my toes on the ground. I see my leg all wrapped up and casted into a thick cast as my toes reach the ground. I feel my body ache as I grab the crutches and slip them under my arms. I carefully balance myself out getting used to the foreign object as I let the white hospital gown flow down my body. "Oh your up." A young boy says poking his head in.

"Yea, can I have some clothes to change into? As much as I enjoy hospital gowns I need to change." I say desperately. "In your room there is." He says a little snarky. "Is there something you need?" I ask annoyed. "Uhm yes. I was told to tell you that Sterling wishes to see you when you get dressed." I look at him in surprise. "I wasn't aware he was home." I say as I look at my feet. "He got in an hour ago, said something about giving you time." He says as I nod my head.

He gives me a small smile and leaves the door open as I hesitantly test and balance the weight of my body. I walk slowly and carefully as I find myself out of the hospital wing and carefully walking up the stairs. "Oh heavens." A teenage boy with amber eyes and dark black hair says as he watches me struggle up the stairs. "Well don't stare at me." I say as he smirks. "I assume you must be the broken princess?" He says trying to hold back a laugh as I narrow my eyes at him.

"Nope just the maids daughter." I say sarcastically as he bursts out laughing. "No one ever mentioned that Dracula's daughter was feisty and hot." He says as I watch him carefully. "As much as I love a staring contest I have stairs to conquer." I say as I continue to walk up the stairs. "IcantbelieveImdoingthis." He mutters under his breath as he zooms up to me and picks me up with crutches and all and speeds me to my room. He carefully sets me down as he opens the door. "Ok then." I say as he smiles. "How did you know this was my room? Should I be concerned?" I ask rising my eyebrow.

"I can smell the girly perfume from a mile away, and last time I checked you were the only teenager girl here." "Who are you?" I ask. "I'm Tayo, pleased to meet you Estrella." He says lowing himself to a slight bow. "Alright." I say walking to my door as I see a basket of candy and blood bags with flowers all around the room. I burst out laughing at the blood and candy due to the fact that I enjoy both due to my double genes.

"What's so funny?" Tayo says peeping his head in. "Candy and blood?" I laugh. "What about it? If you don't want the blood I will certainly take it for you. The candy on the other hand I'll pass." He says as I roll my eyes. "TAYO!" A booming voice calls from below. "Yessss Sterling?" He yells back winking at me. "Leave Estrella alone." Sterling yells causing me to smile. "No fair!" He whines before giving me a wink and running off closing the door behind him.

I hesitantly walk down the stairs once more dressed casually in a black long sleeve shirt and some shorts. The clicking of my crutches can be heard from a mile away as I see Sterling zoom in front of me smiling wide at me as I give him a grin. "Need some help?" He asks smirking knowing full well I need help. "I'm pissed at you." I say as his smile fades a little. "Let me explain." He says as I tisk at him.
