I feel someone untying my shoes and I instantly know who would do that as he always does. "Leon why do you even bother? If a girl wishes to sleep in her shoes you let her." I talk muffled as my face in buried in the blanket below me. "Because it's unsanitary, and it's something that you should consider doing before you hit dream land." He responds causally as I wiggle my toes and sigh in relieve as I pop my toes. "How was this mission?" He asks.

"About that." I say perking up from my position and sitting up on the bed. I look at Leon siting on my bed his blue eyes never losing my sight. "You've cut your hair. Why?" I ask as I notice his once long black hair has been cut shorter and is spiked up almost giving him a better appearance.

"Because it was getting on my nerves. Now tell me about Eli." He asks as I take a short breath in. "Eli was stupid. I don't understand why I'm sent out with trigger happy Hunters. He caused his own downfall." I say causally as I would talk about the weather.

"Kill the targets?" He asks as I nod my head. "What happened out there Ella?" He asks using my nickname. "I would rather not talk about it." I say closing myself out. "You always say that, why can't you just tell me? Am I not your best guy friend?" He asks as I flick my eyes around the room.

"Because maybe I just don't have to tell you everything about my life. You are one of my close friends, but I just don't think I can tell you." I say causing him to stand up quickly from the bed fuming at me. "Why the hell do you lead me on and blow me off once more?" He asks narrowing his eyes at me.

"Do you care to really know what happened?" I ask as he looks at me with an are you stupid face. "Yes." He says as I breathe slowly. "I went to a diner with Eli, sketchy diner. I was outnumbered, vampires were everywhere inside, I should've realized. I was pinned down, Eli was changed and something was discovered. One of the vampires tasted my blood, mentioned something about being the daughter of his leader. Now Leon who do vampires fall under?" I ask summing up the story. "Masters." He whispers.

"You know how I told you I never knew my father?" I ask as his eyes widen as he puts the puzzle pieces together. "You don't think do you? It's not possible, you're human Estrella." He says shaking his head at me. "But am I really?" I ask as he takes in my ability's. "I have all the abilities of a vampire." I whisper. "But have you seen a Master?" He asks as I shake my head no. "I did once but that was so quick. I had to escape so I wouldn't die." I say recalling the mission in the shed.

"No. As far as we know you do not have a Master as a father. Humans and vampires don't procreate. Don't tell anyone about this Ella." He says as I give him a duh look. "I don't know Leon but as far as I'm concerned I can't let myself get close to them. You know how fast work spreads in their world. If I am a Masters daughter his coven won't stop until they find me." I mention as he tisks at me being right.

"You can't just stop hunting. You'll have to be extra careful, not that you are now but be cautious. Asher wants to talk to you about the mission. Pick your words carefully." He says as I stand up from the bed. I set my gun in my holder again as I walk towards the door with Leon watching me closely.

"No shoes now?" He asks as his head flashed towards my boots across the room. "Nah not needed. I'm home anyway." I say pulling my hair down from my messed up ponytail as it hits my lower back. "You are a mess." He says laughing. "No one said I was a clean kill." I say smiling back at him. "Uhm you kind of are already." He says as I open the door and laugh back at him knowing full well that he's right.

I walk out towards Asher's office as I get some looks on the way there in my socks, not caring at all. I knock on his door before I walk inside yawning a little as I plop down onto his long brown couch. "You slept an hour, are you going to injure another if they look at you?" He asks as I stare at him. "I made it here didn't I?" I say in all seriousness as he smirks at me. "Tell me the mission." He asks as I recall the story skipping over the pinning down part.

"You know Eli will have to be killed right?" He asks as I nod my head. "He never was cut out for our lifestyle Asher. I know you want to recruit the low of the low, but don't recruit the stupid." I say stabbing at his ego not to mention my trainees who are either dead or changed. "I have another mission for your that's happening next week." He says as I sit up from the couch as he lays the folder on the desk.
