Tiffany
"Remember our Target." I say. Hiding in the forest behind the lead pack of New York gives the best protection. Nature will always defeat these packs of savages. Taking down the strongest pack will send panic to the others.
"Tiffany" Leo whispers over to me. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" He asks quietly. I nod. If we are to loud then we would alarm them because of their hyper senses. There isn't many of us on this trip since we only came to collect their prize. Maxine. Getting her shouldn't be difficult.I dig my hands down into the ground and close my eyes. I search for a spider or some sort of insect inside the abandoned cabin. I locate a Spider.
"I'm in" I whisper. I hate looking through the eyes of bugs but it's our only option. I find myself in what I'm assuming is the kitchen. Based on the blue print Dolores gave me, Maxine's den should be down the hall to the right. Creeping closely to the creese of the ceiling I stop abruptly. There's this weird dude facing his...phone camera I think. Looks like he's talking to himself. I try to make out what he's saying. It's something like 'Ruben you've got this'. Thats all I'm able to make out. What a weirdo. I don't have time to go mess with him. I needed to keep my eye on the prize.
Speed crawling down the hall I take a sharp right and see the door to her Chamber! Hold on- there were two sitting duck figures outside it. Could it be protection? This would mess with our plan completely! Damn it. I crawl closer to get a better look. It's then that I realize they are two passed out werewolves. Lucky for us one of them is our Prize! Maxine is there! Waiting for us like an obedient cub. I need to report back to the others. I take my hands out of the dirt and cut off my connection with the spider.
I look up at Leo and nod my head whispering "All good. She's outside the door." He just looks at me.
"What did you see on your way?" he asks. He chooses his words carefully because he know's if I lie then I will get tased, as for any other fairies that lie as well. I roll my eyes and say "Some guy talking to himself."
He chuckles "What a weirdo."
Dolores comes up from behind me asking " Was anyone with her?"
I nod. "A boy. Looks about her age maybe a year older. Defiantly skilled though." Out of the corner of my eye I can see Leo smirk.
"Are you saying he could be my match?" He asks. Leo is the most skilled fighter the Fairies have. So far no one has been able to beat him. Anyone that ever tried would be in the hospital within seconds. I roll my eyes. "Don't hospitalize the poor guy" I say. He just shrugs "I'll try not to."
Dolores taps my shoulder and says "I'll keep watch using a bug, you guys go in and make sure you come back in one piece." Leo and I nod in unison.
Then we transform into butterflies and fly in from the crack in the window. It's go time. We have to be fast and swift. I glance over and can tell Leo is excited but serious about our mission. I should be too. I can see the turn the hallway takes to her den door so Leo and I come to a halt. We glance around to make sure no one is coming our way and then we change back to our normal selfs. We're both geared up. I have my bow and arrows and Leo has his daggers. Hopefully we don't have to use them and things can go smoothly.
We look at each other and nod to give each other the 'It's time' signal. I take out the sparkly dark purple liquid in my bag and take a sip and Leo does the same. This tastes fowl but It's going to make our steps silent so no one can hear us. We walk down the hallway towards the figures and I realized his arm is wrapped around her- shit. It's going to be almost impossible to not wake him up. Looks like there might be a little fight that goes on tonight after all but we can't stop. Not now. Not after we've come this far.
