Friday, March 13th, (night time)

It's been a long day. Between Eugene still laying limp in the hospital and Tyler inviting Wednesday out for her birthday, Raven felt exhausted.

She was laying on Enid's bed as she rambled on about her 'super romantic and totally spontaneous' dates with Ajax. "And then we kissed...again!" She squealed for what felt the 100th time that late evening.

Raven gave her a slight smile as Enid finished polishing her black nails "perfect!" She exclaimed "now let them dry. Don't! Touch anything...I mean it, Raven" Raven held her hands up in surrender, knowing full well that the last time Enid attempted to do her nails, she ruined them before they could even completely dry.

"How is it...kissing, I mean" Raven asked. Enid whipped her head faster than the speed of light and looked at Raven incredulous "what?" She asked

"I never had my first kiss before..." she tried to explain "I just don't get what all the fuss is about" she looked down and blew on her freshly painted nails, using it as an excuse to not look at Enid in the eyes.

It wasn't a secret that Raven had never dated anyone, but not many knew that she'd never even kissed a boy before.
"You never had your first kiss?" Raven shrugged "that's what I said, isn't it?" She asked rhetorically.

Enid's jaw hung open "Oh. My. Gosh!" She squealed excitedly, taking Raven by surprise. "We need to plan it! I already see it. It's going to be under the dark moonlight sky, music playing in the background, you and Tyler in each other's arms!-" Raven interrupted her train of thought "Whoah, whoah, hold on there Enid. Who said anything about Tyler"

Enid looked at her with a knowing look "oh come on, Raven!" She said as she jumped out of bed "it's like the most obvious thing in the world!"

Raven shook her head "No Enid.... Him liking Wednesday, now that is obvious" she stood up from the bed and grabbed one of Enid's fans in attempt to dry the polish faster.

"I don't understand why he insists so much on convincing Wednesday he has a crush on her" Enid began explaining "Sure, they went together to the Rave'N and he is always there to help her....and sure, when it's just the two of them it kinda does look like he's into her. But when you come in the room... He completely forgets about Wednesday" Raven couldn't help but stare at her...she had never heard something more ridiculous.

"Enid I appreciate you wanting to make me feel better, but it's obvious" she placed the fan back on the desk "he likes her and she seems to like him too...why would I want to take that from her" Enid groaned audibly "For once! Can you just stop thinking about Wednesday?" She asked irritated. Raven looked at her puzzled.

She took a deep breath and said "Since Wednesday's arrival, all I've seen you do is live for her" she said frankly "You risked your place at this school, to do her a favor. You joined the Poe Cup, to do her a favor. You broke into that weird secret club, to do her a favor. You went with Xavier to the dance, to do her a favor. You dug up a dead body, to do her a favor. You went back to therapy, to do her a favor. You went to jail! To do her a favor...for once just, y'know, do yourself a favor"

Raven looked at her, barely knowing what to say. Every word Enid was spitting out was formed by pure facts and she didn't know how to handle that.

She continued to tell herself that she shouldn't resent Wednesday for going with Tyler to the dance, and she shouldn't resent her for almost burning her out while preparing for the Poe Cup, or make her exploit her childhood bully to do her a favor, or digging up a body, playing while a statue caught on fire, sending Eugene to the hospital, sending her to jail, making her go to the dance with Xavier just to later figure out it's wasn't even necessary.

"I don't hold grudges" she simply articulated. Enid dragged out a sight while she approached her "I'm not trying to say you should hold a death grudge to her throat" she said "I just think you should put yourself first from time to time" she said while placing an arm around Raven's shoulders.

"And I'm here for whatever you need.... Sure I'm not Eugène, but I like to think I'm not too bad myself" to this Raven couldn't help but crack a smile.

The sound of a door opening forcefully startled their moment "I've been thinking about my less-than-enthusiastic response to your surprise soirée" said Wednesday as she stormed inside the room, going straight to her typewriter "And I must admit, I regret not showing my gratitude towards you two more appropriately"

Enid's eyes filled with hope "You really mean it?" She asked looking almost teared up. Raven smiled at the notion that her cousin was finally appreciating the surprise "Let's just take the win, Enid" she gave somewhat of a smile but still kept her expression neutral.

"If only there were a way for us to get off campus and have a little birthday redo. Just three best friends. Too bad the school is on lockdown. Would you look at that full moon..." Raven sensed she was going somewhere with this...she had no idea where, but she definitely knew she didn't like it.

"Oh! how about I say I'm about to wolf out and get a pass to the lupin cages?" Enid proposed, looking thrilled at the idea of spending an all girls night with the Addams cousins "And say you two volunteered to lock me in"

Wednesday smiled triumphantly "My deviousness has finally rubbed off on you" Raven just looked at the floor...this couldn't be good.

Wednesday looked through her drawers and pulled out her snood, wrapping it around her head "I think this is the proper occasion in which I would suggest wearing these"

Enid squealed and wrapped her own around her head. Raven slowly pulled out her purple one and wore it... 'Oh, Wednesday... please don't have anything up your sleeve' she thought.
