"There! I see the exit!" Victor exclaimed, as Hop and his partner Wooloo followed closely behind. "See? I told you she'd be too scared to come in." Victor chuckled, while looking around.

"Then where is she?" Hop asked, noticing the front yard and porch was empty.

"Uh..." Victor sweat dropped, while running inside his house. "Y/N? Where are you?"

Silence.

"She's not here, Hop." Victor stammered, while continuing to look around.

"She had to have gone into the Slumbering Weald!" Hop worried. "Without a pokémon, too? What if she gets hurt, Victor?"

"I..." he hesitated, trying to think of a plan. "We can try and find her."

"Don't you think we would have seen her on the way out?" Hop snapped. "I'm going to go get my mom for help."

"No! She'll tell my mom and I'll get grounded! There has to be another way."

Suddenly, they felt a gust of wind and saw someone landing in the middle of the hill between their houses. Victor and Hop looked over to see Hops brother, Leon, walking towards them.

"Lee!" Hop cheered, as he ran up to hug his brother. "What are you doing here?"

"Hey, buddy." Leon smiled. "I finally got a break from all my Champion duties, and I thought I'd come home for the week."

At just thirteen, Leon never expected to become Champion so young, but he succeeded on his first attempt at the gym challenge. Ever since he left home three years ago, he had yet to lose a battle, coining him the name of Galar's Unbeatable Champion.

"Leon! Thank Arceus you're here!" Victor whined, as he ran up to hug him.

"Haha, hey Victor. Everything okay?" Leon questioned, caught off guard from the hug.

"No, it's Y/N..." he sighed. "We played a trick on her, and now she's lost in the Slumbering Weald."

"She's what?!" Leon gasped. "You boys should know better than to play around in that forest; there's a reason it's off limits."

"It was his idea..." Hop muttered, as Victor glared at him.

"Yeah but you didn't stop me!" he shouted.

The two boys began bickering, and Leon cut them off. Even though he was only three years older than them, he matured a lot quicker due to the help of his champion status and new duties.

"Stop fighting. I'll go find her." Leon told them, as they crossed their arms and turned away from each other. "You two stay here. You better be in this exact same spot when I get back. Let's go, Charizard."

"Char!" his partner exclaimed, as he followed him into the Slumbering Weald.

As they made their way in, most of the wild pokémon scurried away from them and hid in the bushes due to Charizard's size. Leon had no idea where to start looking, as he had never been in the forest before.

"Y/N!" he shouted, while getting no response. "Where could she be?"

They continued further into the forest, and became hesitant as fog started to form around them. It was the middle of the day, but the darkness that was enclosed by the trees made it look like the dead of night. Leon stood closer to his partner, ready for anything.

"Stay alert, buddy." he told him.

As the fog became thicker, they came upon a couple of wild Corviknight. Both stood back while glaring at the two, and let them pass, which confused Leon as most wild ones were usually pretty vicious and territorial when it came to their homes.
