Chapter 6

The next morning, Y/N woke up naturally and looked over at Victor on the floor in his sleeping bag still asleep. She quietly got up, and walked out of the room towards the bathroom.

As she opened the door, she ran into someone exiting the bathroom. "Oh, uh sorry Y/N..." Leon sweat dropped while holding her shoulders as he pulled her off of him, causing her face to become bright red.

"D-Don't worry about it." she mumbled, started to get flustered.

Leon smiled at her, and moved out of the way for her to get in the bathroom. As she walked in, she closed the door behind her while hoping he didn't see her start to blush. She shook her head, and started to brush her teeth and wash her face.

After she was done, she went downstairs followed by her new partner Scorbunny, to see Sonia making breakfast while Professor Magnolia and Leon talked about her recent discoveries at the kitchen table.

"Good morning, dear." Magnolia said, as Leon turned towards her and smiled.

"Morning, Y/N!" Sonia exclaimed. "Come help me with breakfast?"

Y/N walked over to her, and noticed Leon looking at her quite a bit. She knew she was probably imaging it, but wished he felt the same. Maybe he was even looking at Sonia... The two were the same age, and had traveled the region together; who knew what their story was.

She tried to get the thought out of her head as it was upsetting her, and decided to make some of her 'famous pancakes' as Sonia finished up with the eggs and bacon. Even though she and her mother were the only ones who referred to them as that, they were pretty damn good.

"Hop and Victor are still asleep?" Sonia asked Y/N.

"Apparently." she laughed. "Victor was knocked out when I woke up."

"They must be wanting to be well rested for today." Sonia giggled, as she took what she was cooking to the kitchen table. As Y/N flipped the last pancake, she took a stack of them to the table as well.

The delicious smell of breakfast food filled the house, and Scorbunny and Yamper ran up to the table to get their own serving. The four of them sat down, and were about to make a plate before they heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Down came Hop and Victor, both in their pajamas still with a hilarious case of bed head on both boys.

"You guys better not have started eating without us." Hop groggily told them, while rubbing his eyes. Once Victor locked eyes with Sonia, he immediately became wide awake and ran back upstairs to fix himself up.

"We made plenty of food for you guys." Sonia smiled at him. "Come help yourself!"

As Hop joined them at the kitchen table, they all began eating, and were filled with the delicious taste of the breakfast food entering their mouths.

"Y/N, these are amazing!" Hop exclaimed, referring to her pancakes as everyone including Leon agreed.

Once Victor came back downstairs, he sat in between Y/N and Hop and started eating. In the corner of the room was Scorbunny, Grookey, Sobble and Yamper enjoying their breakfast as well.

"Should we start heading to Motostoke after this?" Hop asked, his mouth full of food.

"That's fine." Victor replied, before turning to Y/N.

"Uh, sure..." she mumbled, just happy to be able to join them.

"You three should probably stop by your houses first to get some things and say goodbye to your families." Magnolia spoke up, as the three agreed. "Speaking of..." she stood up, and headed towards her bedroom.
