Chapter 11

*Ring ring ring*

The alarm on her phone went off at 8:30 the next morning, and as she reached over to turn it off, Y/N couldn't help but yawn as she did not want to get up. But, after remembering what day it was, she became fully awake as it was time to get ready for the opening ceremony.

She had an hour before she needed to meet up with Hop, Victor, and Marnie in the lobby, so she went to the bathroom to do her hair and makeup so she would look presentable for the occasion.

The opening ceremony for the gym challenge was to be broadcasted on tv channels nation wide, and she didn't know who would be watching. Yet, the only opinion she cared for was Leon's.

As she shook her head at the thought of him, she pulled her hair back and washed her face.

'Leon is just a friend. Nothing more.' she thought to herself, sighing.

"He's always going to see me as the little girl who is friends with his brother, isn't he?" she said towards Scorbunny, who was half awake as Eevee and Gible were still passed out.

"Doesn't matter. All I need to focus on now is the gym challenge, and getting stronger. Maybe we can add another member to our team, how does that sound?"

"Scor, scor!" her partner exclaimed, as he sat up in the bed.

Y/N giggled at the sight, then turned her attention back to the bathroom mirror. As she looked at her reflection in front of her, she pulled her out of the braid she slept in, and was glad to see that her hair surprisingly looked pretty good.

Her long, H/C hair was half wavy, half curly as it rested on her shoulders. After fluffing it up a little, she decided to leave it down and decided to focus on her makeup. She wasn't much for a caked out face, but decided to add a little more blush than normal on top of the mascara and winged eyeliner she already put on.

After one last glance at herself, she got dressed in her casual gear, sprayed herself with her favorite perfume, and was ready to go.

She returned her two newest members, and left Scorbunny out as he jumped into her arms ready for the day to come. As she walked towards the hallway, she opened the door to bump into none other than her brother.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" he scoffed.

"How about you watch where you're going." she snickered, while crossing her arms.

"Ugh, whatever Y/N." he sighed. "Let's just go to the lobby."

"Fine."

The twins walked towards the elevator, and went inside as it opened when they heard a voice telling them to hold the door.

Right as the doors were closing, a hand belonging to a boy with purple hair stopped it, and smiled at the two as the doors opened back up for him.

"Good morning, you two." Hop smiled, and Y/N returned the favor. "Geez, what's with him?" he chuckled, as Victor rolled his eyes.

"He's just mad he bumped into me this morning instead of Marnie..." she jabbed.

"Y/N, I swear to Arceus you better not make any comments in front of her or else." Victor warned.

"Or else what?" she taunted.

"Or else once we see Leon I'll tell him-"

"FINE." she interrupted. "I won't say anything to her. You know I wouldn't, anyways."

Hop looked at the two, and sighed. Even though his brother Leon told him he didn't see Y/N that way, it didn't take away from the fact that she clearly had some unresolved feelings towards him still. Yet, maybe once he got a chance to tell her how he really felt, she would change her mind.
