Chapter 15

After the four trainers grabbed a quick bite to eat at one of the local restaurants, they made their way out of Turffield and started towards Hulbury where they would take on the second gym leader, Nessa.

Y/N knew a little about her, and only what she did know because she was one of Sonia's best friends and an extremely famous model. Nessa was tall, confident, and beautiful; not to mention a strong water gym leader.

Having Raboot as her partner wouldn't help too much given the type disadvantage, so she needed to try and catch a grass or electric type Pokémon.

"Let's go guys!" Victor exclaimed, as he was walking ahead of the others. "I want to train Yamper up some on Route 5 before we battle Nessa!"

"Grookey and I are going to have no problem against her," "Hop boasted, "what about you, Y/N? Are you going to try and catch a new Pokémon?"

"Uh, yeah, I think so..." she sweat dropped, already starting to worry about not finding one.

She knew she could always look for an electric or grass stone and evolve Eevee, but she didn't want to rush her evolution just for the sake of the next gym they faced next.

As they made their way along Route 5, Y/N took turns bringing out Eevee and Gible to make sure they could get plenty of training in. Before the group was going to take a break, they came upon a small building ahead.

"What's this place?" Y/N asked, as they approached.

"It looks like it's a Pokémon Nursery," Hop stated, "too bad we don't have any others we can leave here! I've heard if you leave them here they will grow stronger, and sometimes you can find Pokémon eggs when you leave two at a time together."

"Seriously?" Victor asked. "Maybe we should just catch a bunch and leave them here!"

"Yeah, maybe." Hop laughed. "Come on! Let's check it out!" he then grabbed Y/N's hand and pulled her in.

As the four went inside the building, they saw and older woman at the counter who greeted them upon arrival, and a young woman standing off to the side with a small purple Pokémon in her arms.

"Hello trainers! Welcome to the Pokémon Nursery. Are you going to be leaving any Pokémon with me today?"

"Oh, no ma'am." Hop smiled. "Just wanted to get a look inside."

"And see if there's any Pokémon eggs laying around..." Victor muttered, as Hop nudged him in his rib cage causing him to let out an over exaggerated whimper.

"Well, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask." the woman said, as they nodded.

Y/N found herself staring at the other woman in the room, and turned away quickly after locking eyes.

"Hi there!" the woman cheered, startling Y/N. "I found an egg, and carried it around with me - and it hatched into a Toxel! Why don't you raise it? It's a real shocking Pokémon!" she then walked up to Y/N and placed the Toxel in her arms.

"Oh, uh, y-you sure?" Y/N stuttered as the baby Pokémon was already latching itself onto her.

"Absolutely! He seems to like you more than me already." she giggled. "Take care!"

As the woman walked out of the nursery, Hop, Victor and Marnie turned towards Y/N and noticed her arms full of a purple Pokémon they didn't recognize.

"What just happened?" Victor asked.

"That woman just gave me this Pokémon..." Y/N sweat dropped, as Marnie walked up to them.

"Oh isn't he the cutest?" Marnie cooed, as the baby Pokémon grabbed her finger. "Toxel is an electric type too, so guess you lucked out."
