As they walked into the city, they passed over a bridge at the entrance and were now in Motostoke. The sun was setting behind them causing the city to glisten in the dim orange light. Y/N and Victor looked around in awe, as they were excited to continue on with their journey.
Walking through the town, they passed a train station, many boutiques, and other little stores around. Straight in the center of the area was a lift that would take them up to the upper level where the Pokémon gym was.
"Alright guys, you think you can find it to the gym on your own?" Leon asked the three.
"Yep! We'll be good." Hop smiled.
"I have to go meet up with Kabu, but I will see you all tomorrow at the opening ceremony." Leon told them. "There is an Inn that the league books for gym challengers close by the stadium, so after you check in you can head there and get ready for the night."
"Thank Arceus we get to stay in a hotel tonight." Victor sighed. "I'm not a fan of camping."
"Really? I don't mind it too much." Y/N added, trying not to blush as she remembered how she woke up practically in Leon's arms.
"Me neither." Hop added.
"Well I do." Victor pouted.
"Anyways, I have to get on my way so you guys have fun." Leon laughed, as he went on his way.
"You coming, Sonia?" Hop asked, as she was facing away from them.
"I think I'm going to do a little shopping before the stores close." she said with stars in her eyes. "See you guys later!"
As Sonia ran straight towards the boutique, the three trainers laughed and made their way to the lift. The gym was closing soon, so they needed to hurry if they wanted to check in before then.
Once they walked in, they were shocked at the sight. The gym lobby was full of other trainers, all who seemed to be taking on the gym challenge as well as they had matching uniforms on.
"Wow, look at all these trainers!" Hop said in awe. "I bet they're all here for the gym challenge; just more rivals for us." the three then walked up to the receptionists desk.
"If you're here to register for the gym challenge I will need to see your endorsements." the man at the desk told them.
As Y/N pulled hers out, she handed it to him and saw his eyes grow wide.
"Wow, endorsed by the champion himself? That's a first."
"Well, prepare to be just as shocked." Hop laughed, as he and Victor handed him theirs as well.
"Not just one, but three endorsements? I wonder what mister Leon is up to this year. You all must be something special."
"We sure are." Victor gloated while holding his head up high.
"You got that right!" Hop joined in. "Im the champions younger brother AND the next champion."
"We'll see about that." Victor teased, as Y/N shook her head.
"You'll sign us up, won't you?" Hop asked.
"I-I am trying to." the man stammered. "Here are your uniforms, and you each will need to pick a designated number."
Victor chose 220, Hop chose 189, and Y/N chose 227. They were all now officially registered for the gym challenge and were ready for the opening ceremony the following day.
"There you go." the receptionist sighed. "Now, you can make your way to the Budew Drop Inn; the league booked a room for each of the gym challengers tonight. Head towards route 3 and you won't miss it."
