Chapter 12

Once the opening ceremony was over, the gym challengers made their way off the field and back into the locker room to change out of their matching white uniforms then back to the lobby.

Y/N and Marnie went to change together and told the boys they'd meet up with them after. Once they were all back in their casual wear, they met up right outside the receptionist desk in the main lobby.

"Standing there on the pitch... in the stadium... in front of everyone!" Hop began, with stars in his eyes. "There's really no words for it, but... I can barely contain myself! My hearts racing!"

"I can't get over the rush I just had!" Victor added. "I can't imagine how exciting our first battle will be!"

"It was pretty surreal..." Y/N sweat dropped, not wanting to add how nervous she was on top of her excitement.

As the four trainers were coming down from the high they just went through, a man with long purple hair walked up to them followed by a man in a suit.

"I'm glad you made it, Hop! You too, Y/N and Victor." Leon smiled at the three, while noticing the shy girl behind them.

"This is Marnie." Hop introduced. "She's in the gym challenge too; and her brother is a gym leader!"

As Leon went to greet Marnie, he was quickly interrupted by the man standing next to him.

"So, you're the trainers our Champion endorsed himself." the man said. "Welcome, and it's a delight to meet you. I'm Rose, of course."

They now recognized him as the Chairman of the Pokémon league, also as the man who announced the entire ceremony.

"Pleasure to meet you, sir!" Hop cheered, extending his hand out as Victor followed in suit.

"Pleasures all mine." Rose smiled. "Oh? What's this?" he questioned as he looked down at the trainers wrists. "I see you already posses Dynamax bands! How wonderful! It seems you were led here by the guiding light of the Wishing stars."

The three in front of them looked down at their wrist, and nodded. Little did they know, Rose also founded the company that invented the bands themselves.

There was something off about Rose, and his presence in general was starting to make them feel uneasy.

"Yes sir." Hop forcibly smiled, as the twins sweat dropped while Marnie stood in the back, not wanting to be dragged into the conversation.

Then, a tall blonde woman walked up to the group and whispered something in the Chairman's ear, causing him to listen intently before turning back towards the trainers.

"Now, I'm terribly sorry, but there is some urgent business I need to attend to, so I must be on my way. The best of luck to you all!" Rose told them, before turning and following the woman down a hall and into the 'staff only' area of the stadium.

"Sorry about him..." Leon sweat dropped. "He had been raving on and on about meeting you three, as I have never endorsed anyone before."

"Don't worry about it, Lee." Hop exclaimed, before turning towards his friends. "You guys know the Gym Challenge has a set order that you've gotta visit the Gyms in, right?"

"The first one is the grass gym in Turffield, right?" Victor questioned.

"Yup! And to get there, we need to head to Route 3!"

"Well let's get going then!" Victor exclaimed.

"You two ready?" Hop turned towards the girls, as they nodded in agreement.

"Here, I'll walk you guys out." Leon said to the group, while looking at Y/N causing her to blush.

As Hop rolled his eyes, the four trainers followed Leon out of the stadium as he dodged questions and pictures from fans all around.
