"Okay, I think that should be enough training for now!" Y/N sweat dropped, as she finished her last practice battle with Marnie as her opponent.

Toxel had lasted a lot longer during this battle session than she expected as he was still young and low in level, but needed to get the practice in if he were to battle against Nessa. As he rested on top of her bag that was set on the floor out of the battle path with Eevee next to him, Gible was just about ready to faint when she called the match off.

Raboot, of course, was still pumped and ready to go, but the rest of her team needed some time to rest. The group still had to make their way to Hulbury and register to challenge Nessa, but thankfully for them they left their campsite early enough in the day to where it was still mid morning.

As Y/N gave each of her team members a super potion, she returned them all expect Raboot who continued walking by her side, and Toxel, who was currently asleep in her bag.

"Yeah, probably should give these guys a break.." Marnie agreed, as her partner Morpeko was wiped out as well.

"Good training though!" Y/N walked up to Marnie and extended her hand, as her friend chuckled and grabbed her hand to shake it.

"We should get going guys!" Victor exclaimed. "I want to battle Nessa today, not tomorrow!"

The girls chuckled, and gathered their things while following the two eager boys ahead of them and started their way back on track towards Hulbury.

It was nice to spend some time battling and get her mind off of everything else that had been going on that morning, but once things started to slow down, Y/N remembered the post she saw of Leon and the random girls at the club.

She wondered if she had made up every interaction with him in her head, it didn't make any sense why he would behave this way and completely ignore her if he did in fact have feelings for her.

'Don't be naive.' she thought to herself. 'Leon would never want to be with someone like you. It's time to move on."

Even though her heart ached with every step she took, she knew it was time to put this long time crush to rest, and start being realistic. She needed to focus on the things in front of her. Her upcoming battle with Nessa, and enjoying her journey with her friends.

As she continued along the pathway with her friends, a flashback of the night before came to mind. What did Marnie mean when she said she hoped the article about Y/N and Leon didn't "hurt Hop too much"? Why would Hop care, let alone be hurt by it?

Y/N had been friends with him for as long as she lived in Postwick; just friends. She never thought he could have wanted something more, he never mentioned it or brought it up. Yet, it would make sense for the comment Marnie made.

She didn't know if she could ever get to a place like that with him, he was her best friend and her brothers, and Leon's younger brother... It was all too much. Her head was starting to spin and her feelings were everywhere. All Y/N needed and wanted was a break; something to get her mind off everything just for a little bit.

As her mind continued to race, she felt something calling her. No, not something, someone.

"Hello? Earth to Y/N?" the muffled voice finally came through clearly, as a hand was snapping fingers in front of her face. "You doing okay?" Hop chuckled, as she came out of her trance.

"Oh, uh, yeah... Sorry." Y/N sweat dropped.

"Well we're about to be in Hulbury!" he exclaimed. "You ready to battle Nessa?"

"Can we get food first? I'm so-" Victor started before getting cut off.

"Can I battle her first?" Y/N chimed in, not caring that she interrupted her brother mid sentence.
