Blurb:

In the midst of repeating his second year in a chaotic Computer Science degree, missing his older brother's funeral, and somehow winding up in a brothel one night with no desire to be touched, Vignesh -- aka Vicky -- decides the last thing he'd rather do is sell hugs for some shits and giggles on Tinder.

After all, who'd give a second look at someone who'd never even been glanced at, right?

Right?

Goose's Thoughts:

We are twelve weeks into this challenge and this week I'm making you all emotional.

I didn't really know what to expect going into this story, but I know Mittu's writing and I know that it was going to an emotional ride. Boy was I right. Mittu's writing style is one of the best I have seen. They have this way of writing really deep, philosophical storylines with these amazing one-liners that really get you thinking about life.

The way Mittu played into Vicky's grief throughout this story amazed me and I could feel every emotion that Vicky felt. It was interesting to watch they way they changed upon meeting Alix and seeing them grow more as a person through spending time with them. I also loved the addition of Nova and the way her entire character was presented as well as all the interactions she had with Vicky.

Mittu is just incredible when it comes to leaning into the emotion throughout their stories, and particularly in the final chapter. I found myself getting choked up early on in that final chapter and it continued until the very end. Vicky's character, everything he went through, just felt so raw and real (and in some places, relatable).

I would recommend this story several times over if I could. It's one of those rare gems on Wattpad that really deserves more love than it gets and is honestly incredible. If you're looking for a short, emotional read, go and check this one out. You don't be disappointed.

Thank you for writing such an amazing story, Mittu!
