Teruya Otori, the Ultimate Merchant from Class 79-A, was bored as fuck on that day. He didn't know what to do, AND both of his friends, Haruhiko Kobashikawa and Satsuki Iranami, are being all lovey-dovey with each other because THEY'RE A COUPLE! And Teruya didn't wanna third-wheel them today.
Now here he is, standing on the rooftop, looking at the fairly clear sky today. He only stood there, until he heard a loud-
*KABOOM!*
....Yeah. That sound.
The merchant jolted up in shock over the sudden sound. He was left frustrated by it. "Geez....! I could've went deaf at that moment, honestly! Who the fuck decided to explode something here?!" He asked to himself in anger. He could see other students rushing to get out of the building as quick as they could, but the thing is...
He heard the explosion sound from outside, not from inside of the building.
Teruya heard it loud and clear because he's outdoors (since he's on the rooftop it could count as being outdoors, right?), so it should be obvious that it's outside, right??
"Ugh, I shouldn't think much 'bout it. I should just get outta here quick." He muttered to himself, before running back into the building to get out safely.

Once he was outside of the building, his eyes widened in shock.
Right outside of the gates stood four- no, FIVE floating robot thingies with....devil horns.
What.
They seem to have mouths because before he knew it, one of them opened it and shot out an explosive, and soon the explosive exploded too. "Ack-! What the fuck...?!-"
"EVERYONE STAY BACK!"
A voice then yells out to all of the people outside of the school building. Turns out, it was one of the teachers of Hope's Peak Academy, Rumi Narukami, yelling from inside of the building before quickly running outside.
Suddenly, a bow and a few arrows appear before her, and she snatched it as soon as she saw it. "...What the hell is even happening anymore...?" A voice from behind Teruya asks. The merchant turned around to see another student, Min Jeung, the Ultimate Student, standing behind him.
"I...I don't even know." Teruya replied, and Min only groaned. She then walked to Teruya's right side. "Recently, things have been weird. Don't you think?" She asked again as the two watched Rumi shoot a bunch of arrows at the robot devils, breaking them for good.
"...Yeah. Things have been pretty wacky lately, heh." Teruya replied again. Before they knew it, all five of the robot devils finally were down, and Rumi's bow and arrows disappear in thin air as she does a...weirdly dramatic hair flip.
"Is everyone okay?!" She shouted out, and everyone else responded with answers that could only be summarized as a 'yes'. "Good to know. Let's just hope nothing like this happens again." The teacher said, before walking back into the school building as if all that just happened was literally nothing to her.
That really left Teruya and Min confused, but in reality, Min started to realize just what exactly is going on here.
"...Alicia..."
"What?"
"Oh, nothing."
