Summary:
One of Seito's co-workers are getting married today, and the co-worker in question has invited everyone who works in the workplace to the wedding. Apparently, the attendees of the wedding are allowed to bring other people here. The more the merrier, right?
Well, Seito decided to bring Mantis--Oh, I mean, Takeji, for this shit.
———
"The fuck? You want me to come with you to your co-worker's wedding?" Takeji asked, clearly confused. He and Seito met up in the same alleyway again, but this time, it's on a Saturday, not like usual.Seito had brought up about his co-worker getting married, and had explained to the scientist that the attendees can bring someone else with them too. The Seiten leader quoted it as: "The more the merrier!"
"Yeah. The more the merrier, remember?" He repeated, earning a groan from the other man. "Ugh, fine. I'll come. But just because I don't have anything to do. When is it?" "Next Sunday. You better be here once we meet up to go there." Seito replied in a rather...threatening tone.
"....Right. Sure. Okay." Takeji answered, sounding uninterested in this whole ordeal. In all honesty, he didn't actually wanted to go anywhere next Sunday, but since Seito asked kindly, he'll go.
———
The wedding ceremony was lively and filled with happiness and love--things that Takeji isn't too fond of. But hey, it's a wedding, for fuck's sake, so of course it'll be like that! The ceremony went well. All of the guests had fun. Takeji got to slow dance with Seito since the two of them don't have anyone else to dance with, so that's something. While the whole slow dancing thing happened, Takeji thought back on the kiss Seito gave him awhile ago.
Takeji could only feel his cheeks burn from the memory. He never knew what having someone else's lips on his does to him, but now he does.
And even until now, they're still not officially dating. Wow! Just great!
Guess he'll have to go through the pain of pining for someone now.
Just fucking great.
Eventually, after the slow dancing thing, everyone continued to chat and have fun, along with congratulating the newly weds. Takeji has to admit, it's not exactly that boring.
And he's only thinking this because he's never gone to a wedding before, actually.
After some time, nighttime came, and so is the last thing to do in the ceremony to really finish it with a bang! The newly weds told everyone to get a lantern and be in pairs or groups of three. On the count of three, everyone will lift up the lanterns so that they can fly in the sky.
Takeji seriously has never done shit like this before, but after hearing the whole 'being in pairs or groups of three' part, he's intrigued enough to pair with Seito. He doesn't know why, though.
"I got the lantern. We just need to wait until they start the counting." Seito announced to the scientist, who only nodded. Eventually, everyone got their lanterns and partners/groups. "Alright everyone! Once again, on the count of three, we'll lift up the lanterns!" The bride announced.
"On the count of three! One..."
Takeji feels his heart pounding as he and Seito hold the lantern, waiting for the bride to finish counting.
"Two..."
The two of them look into each other's eyes, before Takeji sees Seito smile softly at him. And cue his cheeks turning red again!
"One!"
After hearing that, everyone lifted up their lanterns. The lanterns float up to the sky, and everyone watched as they do so. Takeji and Seito looked up to the sky, with Seito smiling at the beautiful sight.
Takeji was in awe over the sight. He was silent and he had his eyes widened for a few seconds, before he smiles widely. He never felt this happy and content in so long. He's glad he got to go with Seito to this wonderful event.
"Haha! Hey, that wasn't so bad after all."
"Told you so."
———
"Thanks for taking the time to escort me back home, Mantis." Seito said as the two stood infront of the Imai household. "No problem, Silverwing. Actually, I should be the one thanking you.""Huh? And why's that?" The Seiten leader asked in confusion. "You took me to that ceremony and I expected myself to be pretty bored there. But I was wrong. I...actually had fun." Takeji explained, feeling his cheeks go red again. Seito caught up on that, smiling fondly at that little detail he noticed.
"And....Well, I guess it was more fun to me since you were there with me."
Now that's the sentence that shocked Seito the most.
"H-huh-? Oh, uh, w-well, I, uh-" Seito then sighed. "You know....that applies the same to you. I had way more fun there since you agreed to come with me." "Is that so....?" Takeji asked, and Seito just nodded.
"Well, I guess I should go in now. You sure you don't wanna stay?" The blue haired man asked. The former Fukushu member shook his head. "Nah, I'd rather not alarm your brother since he and everyone else in Seiten doesn't know that I've already left Fukushu."
"Heh, alright then. I'll see you again soo-"
"Wait!"
Seito turned around to face Takeji again. "Yeah?" Takeji hesitated for a moment, before stepping more closer to the other man.
———
"I-I'm home.""O-oh! B-big brother! Welcome home!"
"...."
"E-eh-? Are- are you okay? Your face is completely red...."
"I- uh....let's not talk about it, okay?"
"Wait what- H-huh?! Big brother?!"
*Shut!*
...
"Eh.....What happened back there...?"
...
"Meh, whatever."
