Chapter 34: Wack 'Em Up~! ★

Xander, Min, and David fight against the seemingly corrupted Amethyst.

The three Seiten members widened their eyes at the sight of Amethyst wielding a gigantic hammer, her amethyst eyes piercing through them.

Without a second thought, Xander summons his sword and charges straight at the girl. "Wh- Xander-!" Min called, trying to get the rebel to not act before thinking first to prevent anything bad happening.

However, the red head didn't even listened to her, as he kept running towards the maid. But then, Amethyst dodges Xander's attack and disappears into thin air. The rebel stopped running and looked around in confusion. "What the...Where did she go?" He asked to himself.

Meanwhile, David was just about to run over to Xander, before he feels a weird aura coming up behind him. "...Huh?" He turns around, only to see a weird looking creature that seemingly has Amethyst's colors. It doesn't seem like it's the maid in question, though. It was slowly creeping up on the inspirational speaker.

"Welp, shit. I didn't wanna fight, but if that's what you want, then that's what you get!" David exclaimed, pulling out his lazer gun and pointing it straight at the creature, before shooting it. Min, on the other hand, already summoned her catalyst book to fight off the dark auras too.

The trio kept on fighting the weird creatures that were formed from Amethyst's influence, until they finally beat them all. Sighing a breath of relief, Xander suddenly tensed up. Min took notice to this. "Huh? What's wrong, Xander?" She asked, and the red head only quickly turned around to see Amethyst standing right there behind them.

"Haa...I'd never thought you guys would beat my stupid minions so easily. You guys are pretty skilled, no wonder why you guys are Ultimate students." She said in sarcastic amusement. David cocked an eyebrow on that. "Well, this isn't exactly the one reason why we're Ultimate students. We're literally Ultimate students because we're the best at what we do, you idiot." He explained, and to that, Amethyst rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever! Prepare to perish right here, right now, though!" She yelled at the three, and eventually, she charged at them, even more dark auras coming up behind her. The four then fought once again. It was a rather long one, obviously, and at this rate, Min felt like she couldn't handle it.

However, little did she knew, that there was something creeping up behind her--

"MIN WATCH OUT!"

"H-huh- AH!"

Quickly, Xander ran to the dark creature that was in the shape of a wolf and struck it down. "Are you okay?!" He asked, however, once he saw Min, he felt bad. The student was shaking in fear, probably reliving the memories of her execution in the killing game in the original era.

"Min--" "Wait! Mr. David! Watch out!" Xander exclaimed. David turned around and dodged the attack from Amethyst. "Guh....you guys are competent enough, aren't you guys?" She asked in a mocking manner. To that, David laughed. "Haha, obviously. Maybe we actually got education, unlike you. Because you seem like you don't even go to school at all." He mocked.

Amethyst froze, and then the rage could be seen on her face. "Oh...WHY YOU...!-"

*CLANG!*

"GAH?!" Amethyst looked down to her body, only to see that it was wrapped around chains. "What the- Did one of you did this?!" She asked, however, a sigh could be heard from behind her. The three Ultimate students were confused, until Xander took a closer look and realized...

"Such a worthless being. I guess it was a mistake to have you as one of my maids." A mutter came from behind Amethyst, before she could feel someone kicking her from the back. "Ack-! Wh- Mr. Hayato?!" She exclaimed in shook. Hayato was standing over her, his face displaying one of annoyance.

He lets out a huff, before the scene shifts again, bringing the five back to the kitchen. "What a mess you caused, Ame...How disappointing." Hayato said, looking around the messy kitchen.

That evening, Xander, David, and Min walked back to Hope's Peak Academy's dormitory in silence. What happened in this week's meeting was...wild.

Hayato ended up calling the police, telling them that they should arrest Amethyst for 'attempted murder'. Min felt like that was too much, but for some reason, much to Xander's horror, David told her that it's for the best (̶a̶n̶d ̶t̶h̶a̶t ̶A̶m̶e̶t̶h̶̶y̶s̶t ̶d̶e̶s̶e̶r̶v̶e̶d ̶t̶h̶a̶t).

Once the three got back, Min quickly fast-walked to her dorm. "Min?! Where are you going?!" Xander yelled at her. The student turned around, and even if her bangs are covering her eyes, which makes the two other Ultimate students unsure of what facial expression she's making right now, she does seem pretty pissed off.

"I'm retreating to my dorm first. Good night." She replied, before turning around and fast-walking to the direction to her dorm room, leaving Xander with David. The rebel sighed, putting a hand on his head. However, it was the deafening silence that made David hated this situation.

"...Uh, Mr. David?" Xander called, turning his head towards the inspirational speaker, who also turned his head to look at the rebel. "Oh, yeah?" David replied. "Well...Why did you think Amethyst deserved to be in prison?" Xander asked.

David remained silent for a moment, before finally speaking up. "Because she almost tried killing us with those stupid...things she conjured up. And besides, she might possibly be corrupted by Alicia, and I don't trust people who get corrupted by Alicia."

Xander only looked away, nodding slowly. "I see..." And then, they were both silent again. It'll be awkward for sure, but Xander's sure they'll get through this.

*Ring ring ring!*

"Hello?"

"Ah! David! I knew you'd answer me."

"Oh yeah, Diana. Hi."

"Eh...You sound pretty tired. Anything wrong?"

"....N-no. Nothing's wrong, don't worry. I just...went out with a few friends today and one of them is so energetic. He kept dragging me to different places and I felt like I couldn't keep up at all, heh."

"...I see...."

"..."

"...I know it's a lie, David. Something must've happened between you and Seiten or something."

"A-ah...Nothing bad happened between me and Seiten, don't worry! Something....fucked up just happened during the meeting today, though."

"Huh? Really? Tell me about it."

"..."

A sigh could be heard from David's side of the call.

"I'm too tired to explain it now. Maybe tomorrow?"

"Ah...I see. That's fine. I'll be waiting for an explanation. But you didn't got hurt or anything, right?"

"No, I'm not hurt. Don't worry about it, Diana."

"Haha, alright then. Good night, David."

"Yeah, good night."

David then closes the call. He sighs once again.

"This is tiring....I hate it here."
