Everyone looked at the thing infront of them in either shook, confusion, silence, disappointment, or all four of those things combined into one mix of emotions.
Whit Young decided to be weird for today and bring an ant farm that he apparently 'stole' from someone from another class, and Teruko could only stare at the thing in annoyance.
"....Seriously? An ant farm?? Are you out of your mind?" Charles Cuevas asked, pinching the bridge of his nose in disapproval. Whit only laughed. "What's so wrong about this?"
"Oh. My. God. Ants?! For real?!?!" Arei Nageishi suddenly exclaimed from the far back of the crowd of students in Class 79-D's classroom, eventually pushing herself through her classmates to see the ant farm up-close. Whit nodded his head. "For real! A literal ant farm! Ain't it cool~?" He asked excitedly.
"Haha! Ew!!! Yucky ants!!" Arei commented, before laughing, and Hu Jing only sighed. "I swear to god...Whit, you mentioned earlier that you stole this from another student?" She asked.
The matchmaker then acted confused. "Huh? What'cha talking about? I don't think I've mentioned about stealing this from another student...." He joked, and Hu sighed again. "Don't lie to our faces. You said it earlier, so don't even try to act dumb." Charles said in annoyance, crossing his arms.
Whit let out a light-hearted chuckle. "Hahaha! Alright, alright, fine. I'm just playin' around with y'all." "Can you at least give that back to said student?" Hu asked. "Oh, well-"
"Has anyone seen Gonta's ant farm?!" Suddenly, another student, Gonka Gokuhara, the Ultimate Entomologist, bursted through the previously closed doors of the classroom. Now all eyes were on him. "Oh! Just in time!" Whit said happily, grabbing the ant farm and carrying it towards the buff entomologist.
"This yours, right?" The matchmaker asked. Gonta took the ant farm and nodded. "Yes. This is Gonta's ant farm. Gonta thanks you!!" He said, before walking out of the classroom. Xander, David, and Min only watched everything unfold silently, before the two boys hear the girl groan.
"At least he returned it to the original owner." Min whispered, and Xander let out a small "heh". "Yeah. That's good, I suppose." He whispered back. David could only put a hand on his head and sigh. 'How stupid....' He thought.
