"Are you being serious?" Hermione gasped as they were seated in the stands. "They said that?"
"Apparently. I mean, it may have been at the beginning, but I am still annoyed that they only befriended me to make themselves look good." Astra sighed.
"That may be how they started off, but I know that they adore you," Sirius said. "How could they not?"
"I suppose they do... but it is a friendship built on lies." She said. "What the heck is happening? Why am I losing friends right, left and centre? I will have no one left at this stage."
"You have me," Hermione smiled. "You will always have me."
"I thought I would always have Harry and Maddi and look at me now."
Hermione sighed. "Astra, I know Harry was a dick! A real dick," she looked at Sirius. "Sorry -"
"No, you got it right."
"He is truly sorry for what he said and did. He really is. He has sort of become a shell of himself. He doesn't want to talk to anyone, isn't eating right. He just says he needs to talk to you. He said if he could say sorry, then he would at least feel like he did something. He is not going to settle until he does."
"Hermione, I -"
"You don't have to say anything. Just let him speak. Hear him out, and then you can tell him to eff off if you want."
The five friends were sitting two rows behind Astra. She had no idea, but Draco wanted to keep an eye on her. After what happened yesterday, he was not taking any chances. He screwed up. He knew he did. And when Professor McGonagall stopped him this morning to tell him that Astra had requested for their match to be terminated, he was gutted. Apparently, it was because he was dating other girls, and she didn't want to ruin his chances with this other girl. Which was crap!
He didn't want any other girl. There was no other girl. The only girl he could assume she meant was Daphne. But nothing happened yesterday. They went to a few shops, had a drink, and then she wanted to piss off her ex-boyfriend, so Draco helped her. By holding her against the wall and making it look like something happened.
And now he felt like a dick.
But they were not exclusive, so what was the big deal?
"Draco, you are drooling," Pansy smirked and then sighed, looking at Astra. "What did you do to her?"
"Nothing!" He defended.
"She is hurt....that's not nothing. Was she serious about you kissing her and then wanting to keep it a secret?" Theo asked as Draco bit his lip.
"You did? You fuck wit!" Blaise snapped.
"Draco, what are you playing at? You like this girl. It's obvious so why are you pissing about?" Theo said smacking Draco on the head.
"I am not...we were just dating...part of the school scheme," Draco shrugged.
"But you want more," Maddi said. "We know you do, Astra knows you do. The whole school knows you do."
"I do not!"
"If you didn't you would have accepted the termination but you didn't."
"Come on, if I did, she would have been on her own during those lessons. No one else would take her. I was doing her a favour." Draco scolded, disgusted at himself.
"Sometimes you can be nice you know," Maddi snapped. "Sometimes I actually think you could be the guy that Astra needs. But then you open your mouth and I remember what a dick you are! You don't deserve her. She is too good for you."
