101. Have At It

"At least you managed to wait to you finished your exams," Remus smiled as he conjured a chair for her to sit. "This little boy knew how important mummy's exams were to her."

Astra smiled as she was practising her breathing techniques. "Yeah he has better timing than me already." She fumbled in her bag until her hand clasped around her mobile and she sat back up as a pain tore through her again making her close her eyes and clench her teeth. "Oh...this is horrible!" She cried out.

"What is that?" Lupin asked looking at her phone in her hands.

"It's my mobile. It's a way of communicating with Draco instantly without needing a wand, orb, or magic, and it's much quicker than a LETTER," she cried out again as she went through the contacts to find her fiancé's name before hitting the green button to call.

"Astra?" Draco's voice came from the other end of the line. "Are you finished already? You said that you were going to be a few hours as you were spending time with Lupin. The rest of us are in Hogsmeade at the -"

"DRACO!" she gasped down the phone as she couldn't hold back with the pain.

"Astra?" Draco asked his voice full of concern. "Love, are you ok?"

"No," she puffed out between a contraction. "My waters have broke and you need to -"

"I'm on my way!" She heard him scream down the phone before hearing some scuffling and smashing.

She passed the phone to Remus. "Calm him before he ends up killing himself. Just talk into it he can hear you."

Remus took the phone gingerly and held it to his ear. "Draco? Yes, she is....her water's broke yes...we are heading to the hospital wing now...no...yes...no...I haven't....because I am on with you...of course...I promise."

Astra gave another howl in pain. "It's not supposed to be this sore so fast. I read that people can be in labour for hours!" She stood up. "We need the hospital NOW!" She pulled Remus, who was still talking to Draco out of the room waving to Jason, who was sending a message to Narcissa, Remus and Professor McGongall and waiting for the next student for their exam.

"Holy shit!" Ron gasped as he entered the room. "Astra?"

She looked up to her ginger friend. "Oh...your exam -"

"Fuck my exam are you alright?" He asked leaning over her with his hands out.

"No," she hissed. "Go...do your exam. I got this. You pass your test and I will pass a baby through my body. And when you're finished will you gather the troops?"

He smiled at her and leaned in to kiss her head. "Good luck," he sighed.

"You too," she gave him a thumbs up and closed the classroom door. Thankfully they were already on the 7th floor and didn't have far to travel to get to the Hospital wing as they had to stop every few minutes for another pain to subside.

"Astra?" Madame Pomfrey gasped as they rounded the corner to the entrance to the hospital.

"Madame Pomfrey I have never been so glad to see you!" Astra cried out. "My water's broke."

Madame Pomfrey stood at Astra's left side aiding her while Remus stood at her right, still barking at Draco to calm down, while on the phone. "Let's get you checked out shall my poppet?"

"We shall," Astra nodded as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Draco, she is in the best hands. We are here and won't leave her side.... I promise," he looked to Astra. "There are no carriages, so Draco is about 20 minutes away at least."
