ACT I                   CHAPTER 2
( matching smiles )

EVELYN WATCHED HOW THE TREES WHIPPED PAST AS THE TRAIN WENT TWO-HUNDRED MILES. For speed that quick, it felt like nothing for everyone in the train.

A feast spread across a marble table in front of where the twins sat. Although the blonde girl had no appetite, her brother did.

Evelyn turned her head towards Ace, brows raised and a small smirk. Ace faced her while chewing on any food he picked up.

"What?" He asked, swallowing the food after. "If I'm gonna die, might as well treat myself to all this." The twin gestured to the luxury.

"I like that thinking." A voice entered the room.

Evelyn's gaze fixed on the seventeen year old male who took a seat opposite them. Finnick Odair. Won his games at fourteen (youngest ever) and is known as the 'golden boy' by the Capitol.

His massive grin brightened the room. It sent a swooning sensation to Evelyn. The female twin couldn't help but fall slightly for it. When she realised what was happening, she shrugged the feeling off. She now understood why the whole of Panem loves him.

Finnick's eyes lingered over to Evelyn, his smile growing wider if it was possible. Her attention brought back to the view outside, feeling someone looking at her.

"Finnick, your staring." She implied. A small tug on her lips showed.

He kept his gaze on Evelyn. His features softened ever so slightly when she stared back.

"Can't help it, Star." Finnick smirked.

Ace looked back and fourth between the two, eyebrows pinching together. "Can you guys stop flirting? And aren't you supposed to help us out?" He directed his question towards the winner of the sixty-fifth hunger games.

Evelyn rolled her eyes at her brother's comment. The nickname 'Star' is something she hadn't heard in a while. In school, everyone would call her it because they swore she shone like one in the lighting and how her eyes reflected the symbol perfectly.

Finnick thought the exact same. Even though there's a two year age difference, he always used to see her around school helping out with things and smiling at everyone. The only interaction the pair had, was when Evelyn fell over and he rushed over to help her up.

"Yes, you're right. I am here to help, so what kind of skills do the two of you have?" He questioned.

"I know how to use and throw knifes and spears, anything with a point really. I'm also a quick runner." Evelyn explained.
