Allie's POV

I'm not quite sure of where I'm going. I'm just kind of lost I guess.

Maybe I can go to Hawaii, or Florida, or Vegas. I don't even know. All I know is that I can't stay at my own home.

Wow. That's depressing. I pull over on the side of the road, and turn on my phone.

'What the hell?'
'Where the hell are you?!'
'15 missed calls'

All from Madi.

I decide it's only fair if I call her.

I press the call button fully prepared to get my ear blown out from all the lectures she's about to give.

"Allie?! Oh my god! Shawn it's Allie!!"

"No." I stop her. "Not Shawn. I'm not talking to Shawn."

"Fine." She says. "Where the hell are you?"

"I don't know, don't particularly care." I say blandly.

"Shut up and come home." Madi says.

"No way. Not with everything that's happened." I say with a lump in my throat.

I can't take it anymore and I hang up.

I turn my phone off, throw it in the passenger seat, and peel off onto the road.

I feel a tear stream down my face, but I keep driving.

~

I grab a hotel in Reno, Nevada. It's not the best hotel, but it's not the worst either.

I still haven't brought myself to call Madi back.

I go on Instagram.

I go on the accounts of people I know.

Somehow I stumble upon Brooke's account.

My favorite picture of Madi and I with an X through it is one of her latest pictures.

I read the caption.

'I heard the little bitch finally ditched town. After all she has nothing left. Her mom left her along with her dad. Shawn ditched her. Madi is probably slowly forgetting her too. Serves her right for fucking with me.'

God she's such a bitch.

I see a picture of her kissing a guy. I press it.

The caption is, 'She's gonna be so jealous.'

I look closely to see the mystery boy is Shawn.

Oh. Hell. No.
