Allie's POV

I woke up to find myself laying on Shawn with South Park still on the TV. I looked at the clock to find that it is 11:39. In the morning. Damn. We slept in late. I looked back down at Shawn and kissed his nose. His eyes slowly opened. He looked at me, smiled, and kissed my forehead.

"Are you ready for today?" He asked.

What's today? Oh no. I have to talk to Madi today. I felt nervousness crawl into my stomach.

"Umm maybe." I squeaked out.

"Better sooner than later." He said. "Let's go now!"

"What?!!" I screeched. "Shawn I can't do this. I'm not ready for this. I can't lose her. I'm not ready for worst scenario." I said feeling tears welling up in my eyes. No. I am done crying.

"Listen," he said. "The longer you wait, the more she will think you don't care. And that would be bad. If you don't want to lose her, you have to talk to her."

"You're right. Again." I said smiling.

He just smiled and said, "You can do this."

"Give me ten minutes." I say as I bound up the stairs.

I walk into my room and pull out a white shirt, and dark skinny jeans. I run in the bathroom, and start brushing my teeth. I grab my curling iron and turn it on. I finish brushing my teeth and then run into my room, grabbing mascara and eyeliner. I run back into the bathroom and quickly apply my makeup, while curling my hair. Then I run out of the bathroom, grab my combat boots and rush downstairs. With two minutes to spare.

"You look beautiful. Ready to go?" Shawn asks.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I say.

Ten minutes later, we get to Madi's house. I sigh, looking at the door from the car. Shawn grabs my hand and squeezes it reassuringly.

I breath heavily as I open the door to the car and walk to her front door. I raise my fist to the door, then bring it down again. I mustered up all the courage I could, and knocked on the door. Madi's mom answers.

"Um Hi Mrs. Friday." I say.

"Hello Allie. Is there something you need?" She asks sweetly

"Yes. Could I talk to Madi?" I ask feeling nervous.

"Of course! She's upstairs with her adorable new boyfriend, Harry!"

"Umm okay. Thanks. This is Shawn. My friend." I say looking at Shawn. He looks hurt for a moment but he quickly recovers. That was weird.

I walk up the stairs I have been on a million times. I smile at the memories.

Suddenly, I'm at Madi's door. I feel a huge lump in my throat. I want to be anywhere but here. I need to be strong though. I have to fix this mess I've made.

I take deep breaths as I open the door. As I open it, I see Madi and Harry making out on Madi's bed.

"Oh I'm sorry. I'll just go." I say fumbling for the doorknob.

Madi looks up at me. As I look in her eyes I see a mix of emotions. Fear. Pain. Hatred. "Give us a moment, Harry." She says as Harry gets up and walks out the door. He purposely shoves his shoulder into mine making me stumble backwards. Apparently he isn't very happy with me either.

"Umm hi." I say.

"Cut the crap Allie." Madi says coldly. "What are you doing here?"

Suddenly the nervousness I have felt all day melts away. I feel angry. How could she be this way when she can clearly see the sorrow in my eyes? "Want to know what I'm doing?!" I yell. "I am trying to fix the friendship that you broke! Do you know how many hours I have cried over this?! How bad I felt even though you caused it?!" I scream, feeling tears sting my eyes. "Do you know how bad I made myself feel?! How much hatred I have against myself for saying those things to you?! How dare you treat me so terribly when I am trying to mend a twelve year friendship while you sit here sucking face with a boy! Meanwhile you've been sitting here obviously not caring at all about our friendship! Our friendship means the world to me! But it clearly means nothing to you!" I yell while tears stream down my face.

I look at her. She looks shocked. Tears are welled up in her eyes and I watch as one single tear streams down her face. "I'm sorry." She mumbles.

"What?" I ask.

"I said I'm sorry okay? I had no idea you felt so bad. I thought you didn't care, so I pretended to not care, so you could feel how I felt." She said. She was now full on sobbing. She got up and walked over to me. She pulled me into a huge hug, and I felt relief take over my whole body.

"I can still date him, right?" She asks with a hopeful voice.

I laugh. "Yeah. Just no more drunk nights." I say.

"Would you have even imagined that our life would be this crazy a month ago?" She asks.

I laugh again. "Hell no." I answered. "But I wouldn't change a thing."

"Me either." She said.

I stuck out my pinkie. "Best friends forever again?" I ask.

She laughs. "Of course." She sticks out her pinkie.

"Cross my heart," She starts.

"Hope to die." I finish as we interlock our pinkies.

"Wanna prank the boys?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows.

"Oh yeah!" She said. "What do you have in mind?" She asks.

"Let's pretend we didn't stop fighting and that we are beating the crap out of eachother." I said grinning wildly.

"That's genius." She laughed.

"As always!" I say using my valley girl voice.

I grab Madi's bat and start beating it against the floor. She catches on and starts screaming. "Stop! Allie stop!" She yells. I can barely control my laughter.

A second later the boys rush in yelling, "Girls stop!"

They see us hitting the floor with the bat and their eyes go wide. "Were you messing w-with us?" Harry asked stuttering, while Shawn is trying to form words.

We answer by bursting out laughing and falling to the floor.

Today was a great day. I had my best friend back.
