Chapter 3

Allie's POV

"Hello?" I said as I pressed my phone to my ear.

"Hey." Shawn said nonchalantly.

"What's going on?" I ask secretly hopeful of some good news.

"Umm nothing much." Of course not. I think. "You live in California right?" He asked sounding very hopeful.

"As a matter of fact, I do!" I said my smile widening by the second.

"Where in Cali?" He asked. "Los Angeles." I answered secretly wondering what the hell was going on.

"Me too!" He exclaimed! Wow. I didn't know he lived so close! He sounded so excited. He's adorable.

"I don't know if this sounds too forward, or something, but can I come visit you in like, say a week?" He asked the nervousness evident in his voice.

"Of course you can! We have another guest so the more the merrier! I said excitement dripping out of my voice. I was trying my best to hide the embarrassing excitement but how could I? The guy I've had a crush on for a couple years now, wants to meet me!

The next week went by in a completely crazy blur of excitement and fear of how this whole meet-up would turn out. It turns out that my mom and her boyfriend were going on a little trip for the whole week while Harry and Shawn were here. So Madi, Harry, Shawn, and I could stay in my house the entire week by ourselves! My mom is the best! So is Madi's mom! They are completely okay with us having boy guests over! How much better could they get?!

"They will be here any minute!!" Madi exclaimed literally jumping up and down with excitement. "Patience grasshopper." I said lounging on my couch. I was acting all cool about it, but my heart was beating so fast I feared that it would blow up right there in my chest. Yeah. I guess you could say I was a tad bit nervous.

Suddenly the door bell rang and I swear I had never seen Madi move so fast in her life. Just like me, she was the definition if lazy. That's why we are such good friends. Anyways, as she threw the door open, it smacked against my wall. Really hard. "Don't break these walls, Hercules!" I scolded her as I heard two all too familiar voices at the door chuckling. Madi had her mouth open in shock. I pinched her. We do it all the time when the other loses focus. She jumps suddenly, finally getting out of her dreamland, and glares at me with a vicious stare. I just shrug.

Shawn and Harry put their hands out for us to shake but I push them down and pull both of them into a hug. Shawn held me a little bit longer and I mean hey I'm not complaining. He's great. Madi did the same but Harry held her for a good ten seconds before he released her, leaving her like puddy in his hands.

"So yeah. You may all come in instead of standing out in this 90 degree weather." I said with a small smile as they all chuckled. "Madi shall show you to your rooms while I get snacks and a movie. Okay?" I said.

"Sure. I would love to go with this gorgeous girl right here." Harry said pointing to Madi while she blushed.

"Whatever you say, beautiful." I heard Shawn say as I smiled. I loved the feeling of having Shawn around even if he has only been here for like five minutes.

Ten minutes later we were in my theater room watching "White Chicks" while scarfing down pretzels. Madi and I have watched this movie just about a billion times so we were practically saying the whole script together. I could not believe how comfortable we already were with Shawn and Harry. It was amazing.

"Nah yo hold ma poodle, hold ma poodle!" We quoted as we burst into laughter. "You guys know this whole movie?!" Harry asked clearly amazed. "Of course!" Madi said. "This is a classic!" I added. "You impress me more every second I get to know you." Shawn says. I just smile. "Just wait until the shopping part." Madi said. "That is the most fun to quote." She says with a huge grin on her face.

Seven movies (including Mean Girls of course) and fifteen bowls of pretzels later, we all collapse into a fit of sleep.

It's about 2:30 in the morning when I awake to find Madi and Harry kissing. Damn. What the hell did I miss?! I look up to find that I fell asleep on Shawn and he's stroking my head.

"You and Madi are so different from other girls." He whispers when he notices I'm awake.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"Madi showed me your photo album. You guys have the time of your lives pulling pranks and having fun and you don't care. You don't care what people think. You're so much different from everyone else Allie. And Allie, I love different." He says smiling.

He leans down and I kiss him. Fireworks blow up in my stomach. I look up and smile at him.

"That was beyond amazing." I say feeling butterflies in my stomach.

"I feel the same way." He says flashing me his flawless smile. "Allie?" He asks. "Will you go on a date with me?" He asked.

"Of course I would!" We both smile at each other before I collapse from exhaustion onto Shawn ending the best day ever the best way possible.
