Madi's POV

It's been a couple months, and now the boys are on tour. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it's still difficult. Being away from the person who you love with all your heart for months is really hard. Luckily, they get breaks every once in a while, so they come and visit us. We also get to see them when they come to L.A.

I walk downstairs in the morning only to see Allie slumped over on the couch.

"You okay?" I ask, taking out a bowl and some cereal from the cabinets.

"I'm lonely." she lays down to look at the ceiling.

"Yup me too." I say, sitting next to her with my cereal.

"It'll only be a little while before they get a break." I add, trying to cheer her up.

"A little while as in months." she mumbles.

"Don't be a downer." I laugh, elbowing her. She elbows me back and we start and elbow war.

"I will spill this on you." I say, holding up my bowl of cereal.

"Then I'll slap you with this." she says, holding up a strip of bacon.

Allie's POV

Yeah. We had a war of foods. Embarrassing I know. But that's just us.

"Even though you spilled milk on me, and flung eggs at my face, doesn't change the fact that they are gone." I mumble to Madi.

"I swear. If you keep being a downer, I am going to stab you." She says.

"And I'm going to stab you right back." I say.

She rolls her eyes.

I have been really down lately, and I hate it.

I just can't help it. The long distance is killing me.

Shawn calls everyday, and he texts. It's just not the same.

"I don't think I can do this much longer." I say to Madi.

"Have a long distance relationship with Shawn?" She asks.

"No, eat bacon." I say sarcastically.

"Don't have to be a jerk." She says.

"Yeah. I do." I say laughing slightly.

Even laughing hurts.

I lay down, getting ready to nap for the third time today.

The bell rings, as soon as I'm settled.

Dammit.

I get up and look at myself in the mirror.

There is eggs in my hair,my face, and my pajamas.

There is also dried milk in my hair.

Whatever.

I walk slowly to the door, and open it.

There is a random kid. I don't recognize.

He has brown hair, and brown eyes.

All I can think of is Shawn.

I wince. Oh Shawn.

"What do you want?" I ask blandly.

Wow. That was bitchy.

He looks kind of taken aback.

"Uh. My name is Brandon. I am new to your school. The principal told me that you would show me around, and I wanted to meet you. He gave me your address."

"Why the hell would he do that?" I mumble to myself.

"What?" He asks.

"Uh, nothing. Come in."

He reluctantly walks in.

Madi walks in, and stares at Brandon.

"Whoa." She whispers. I have to admit, Brandon is cute, but Madi and I would never leave Shawn and Liam.

"I'm gonna go upstairs." I say to Brandon.

Might as well not look like crap.

I run upstairs into my room.

I put on a black sweater, camouflage leggings, and black combat boots.

I clean my gross hair, and curl it.

I brush my teeth, and put on mascara.

I skip downstairs, and see Brandon with his ears plugged.

I tilt my head, and give him a questioning look.

He points to the living room.

Oh. I walk in and see Madi blabbing on her phone.

"Liam?" I mouth to her.

She nods excitedly.

Of course.

Shawn hasn't texted in three days. I wonder if he's busy.

I go back to Brandon.

"Backyard?" I ask.

"Yes, please." He says.

I laugh and lead him to my backyard.

We sit on the patio.

"So," I ask. "Why did you move here?"

"Mom got a new job. She's a single mom, so she takes whatever she can get." He responds with a sad look.

"What happened to your dad?" I ask.

"He walked out when I was five." He said.

"I'm so sorry. If it's any consolation, my dad died. When I was six." I say.

"I'm sorry." He says.

"Don't be." I tell him.

We talk for a while.

I tell him about Shawn, and he seems kind of sad when I tell him I have a boyfriend.

He is surprisingly easy to talk to.

"You seem really awesome." I tell him.

"You too." He says with an amazing smile.

Before I know it, he is kissing me, and for some reason, I am kissing back.

What am I doing?

I have an amazing boyfriend! Is he though? How do I know he's not with some girl with his tongue down her throat right now?

It does seem like he is ignoring me.

Get your shit together!

I scream this in my head, and I finally pull away.

"I-I am so sorry." He mumbles.

"Me too." I say.

His face falls slightly when I say that.

"I s-should go." He says.

He gets up, and starts running for the door.

"Brandon!" I run after him.

I'm too late.

He's gone.

Dammit. Today was so confusing.
