It was almost noon and Mark had been training with the members for almost six hours already. Taeyong finally concluded their training, allowing everyone to rest up for now until they have a mission tonight—saying how he better see what they have been working on this morning during the mission.

Currently, Mark was trying to get away from Yuta who kept clinging to his arm.

"Show me some love, Markiepoo," Yuta teased, puckering his lips and making kissing noises near the younger's ear.

Mark shoved the mullet haired member to the side as Johnny snorted, pointing at Yuta.

"That's what you get," Johnny taunted, chugging an entire water bottle because he had obviously been dehydrated for the past six hours with no water break.

"Fuck off. Go suck Taeil's dick," Yuta retorted as Johnny dramatically gasped and Mark rolled his eyes.

"Go suck Winwin's!"

And that was how everyone ended up joining into that conversation, little petty arguments being thrown around mixed with laughter. Mark did not understand how they still had all this energy after training so hard.

He was not in the mood for it so he went to get a towel and water bottle—which Donghyuck had always done but did not today since he was unaware of the older's training—before going upstairs to grab clothes from his room and to take a shower.

Mark took a pretty long shower since he had not even showered last night. He probably reeked of the smell of sex but he did not care.

Once he stepped out of the shower, he dressed in a simple navy blue loose t shirt and black shorts. And with his hair damp, he exited the bathroom with his dirty clothes to discard them in his hamper bin in his room.

Taking a look around, he noticed his room was more tidy than he left it this morning which was more than likely because of Donghyuck he thought.

He also thought Donghyuck would still be sleeping though since the younger has recently been waking up mid afternoon but today was different.

As Mark was about to leave his room—opening the door—his soulmate was standing right in front of him with his fist in the air as if he We're about to knock.

Donghyuck was shocked and his face beamed red, dropping his arm back down as he cleared his throat.

"Can I talk to you?" Donghyuck asked with a shy utter, Mark eyed his appearance and the younger was still wearing the same thing he dressed him back in last night after they you know..did some activities.

But now that Donghyuck's legs were exposed and he had been out and about in the mansion, meaning the other members could see him, it made the older upset.

Mark hummed in response, moving away so that Donghyuck could walk inside as he shut the door behind them.

He was trying to read the younger's face and whatever Donghyuck wanted to talk about, it seemed like it was something pretty serious and it made Mark a bit nervous—thinking the worst.

"Did someone hurt you?" Mark angrily said, stepping closer to examine Donghyuck's body and pulling down his hood. "Threaten you?"

"N-no, none of that! Calm down...I'm okay," Donghyuck stuttered in surprise as Mark inhaled and exhaled deeply, releasing the younger and nodding.

"Okay, what do you need to talk to me about?" Mark questioned, his arms crossed over his chest which made him seem intimidating but that truly was not his intention at all.

Donghyuck swallowed slowly as he played with the sleeves of Mark's hoodie.

"Why didn't you tell me tha-no. Let me rephrase that.." Donghyuck paused, thinking of a way to speak to his soulmate without ticking him off. "Do you think maybe you can t-...ugh!"

Mark just watched the younger with his studded brow raised.

"Look, it kind of hurt my feelings when you left me alone without a word this morning. I-I know that you have every right not to tell me certain things unless you're comfortable with doing so and whatnot, b-but we're soulmates. I'm not asking you to tell me your deepest darkest secrets. I just want to know if you're okay and if you'll be back," Donghyuck quickly spoke.

"D-do you know how terrified I get each and every time you leave for a mission? My mind always races with the different possibilities of what could happen to you out there. And I know you've been practically in this gang life forever and you're used to it and you probably don't care what happens to yourself and maybe not me either but I care...I get scared, Mark!" Donghyuck cried.

He did not mean for the conversation to start like this, but here we are. Maybe this could possibly open up a door in their relationship and strengthen their bond.

Mark just watched the younger whose tears spilled from his eyes and his nose runny while his lips quivered.

"It may seem like I hate and you're damn right I do! I hate you so much for making me develop these feelings for you. I hate you for leaving. And I hate you for making me scared because I don't know what could happen to you out there!" Donghyuck said in one breath, his breathing uneven and shallow.

"I hate that you don't know how much I like you! A-and this morning I questioned whether or not I was good enough for you last night because I woke up and you weren't there," Donghyuck wiped his eyes. "I-I know this is stupid to get upset over b-but as much as I piss you off and I seem like I'm not scared or don't care is only to hide the fact that I'm afraid and sensitive."

"A-and last night, I let that sensitivity get the best of me and maybe that scared you. I'm sorry If it did, but I just want you to communicate with me better and I want to communicate with you," Donghyuck by now was pacing in the room, swiping his nose with his sleeve.

"There's a lot of people that tell me how much you care about me but it would be nice if you showed me or even told me b-because I feel like with certain things, I'm always being left at an arms length and there's still so much I don't know about you," Donghyuck honestly.

"Maybe I should've joined some other mafia gang to background check you like the way you did with me, maybe then I'll know more about you," Donghyuck deadpanned with a dry chuckle as he covered his eyes with the palms of his hands to try to stop himself from crying.

"Do you know what scares me the most? Do You know what I'm afraid of?" Donghyuck took a deep breath as he removed his hands from his face. "I'm afraid of losing someone that I love and care about."

Mark just stared blankly, letting Donghyuck continue until he was done.

"And guess what asshole, you're one of those people I'm afraid to lose," Donghyuck confirmed as he lightly hit Mark's chest, bravely looking the older in the eyes for a few seconds to see if he had gathered any reaction from Mark.

"Because you're so important to me," Donghyuck admitted, jabbing his finger on the older's shoulder.

"Look, i know i have a lot of flaws that I need to fix...but I want to work on them with you. I want to grow this relationship with you," Donghyuck sniffled, his tears had slowed down by now.

"D-do you think we can do that, Minhyung?" Donghyuck asked and something about the way the younger said Mark's Korean name sent butterflies throughout the older's stomach.

There was a couple seconds of total silence until Mark undid his crossed arms, dropping them to his side.

"You're wrong," Mark flatly said as Donghyuck wore a perplexed expression, tilting his head worriedly.

Was Mark about to reject hin right now? Donghyuck was severely confused and worried about what he means.

"W-what?" Donghyuck's lips quivered and he was about to cry again, feeling dejected.
